Al, I'm really enjoying your posts again. A few favorites have been that sublime emerald Miller-- man that's a beauty-- as well as the Mallory snowfall and black velour. Beautiful melone today as well. You have inspired me to get on the bowler bandwagon this morning.

1928 Kaufman Hats, "Deerskin Felts" Derby. This rarely gets out of the [original] box, because it is easily the nicest derby I own. The liner and sweatband are amazing too.

Thanks for your kind comments, Jeff. Just love your Kaufman derby. Definitely top shelf.

Al; What to say other a BIG THANKS for the visual excursion into “AL’s World.”

Eric, I really appreciate it. Hope you were able to keep your lid on in the vicious winds today!

Beautiful derbies, Jeff and AL!
Today I hailed the Motor. Its aerodynamic lines and ribbon cut through the wind like a knife... sort of.

Thanks, Alan. Perfect day to rev up that old Motor! That Palace Clothing Co. cap looks swell on you.

Al, stunning pics as usual.

You are too kind, Monte. Thank you. That is a big hat, to wear under a BIG sky. Great photo, and the Stratton looks terrific.

Al, fantastic photos and wooonderful, your Velour. A great combination with your nice jacket.
The gorgeous melone, wow, has found his master!

Thanks as always, my friend! :yo:

Newly aquired 40's Stetson Special Homburg.

Thanks Garrett, Steve and Al!
Casechopper, that's a fine old Knox.
Snow here today too, David, but not so much. Nice to see that Powell fedora.
Justin, I like your new Special. $5 bought a lot of hat back then. Based on the markings I would guess 1940 at the latest, perhaps a little earlier.

I'm wearing a Bogart Panama, (Cuenca straw), from Cappas. It's a decent budget starter manufactured in the U.S.A. for just under a $100, depending on where you buy it....
