AnA, both hats are great but the Milan is my favorite in these photos!

Laura, sharp Strat. I dig your style!

Meric, a good old Bailey, fits good and looks good!

Swing, a good dose steam can help a lot, nice hat!

Eric, your Sage Strat is really unique! Great color for a hat!

Jeff, Falcon Friday is a good day for me, because I can see that ha! That is inspiring.

Alan, very dressy the whole combination with hat and coat! A sharp look!

Thanks Jared. I put this help put this event on to raise money for the Historical Society so since I got there at noon to start setting up and had the building practically to myself, I took the liberty of giving myself a tour of the place including walking around the top gun walks in the counting rooms and some of the rooms that are still under renovation. It was pretty cool.

Nice hats, all. Thanks for the compliments and educational comments as well.

Manfred, thanks for the earlier comments on my Stetson 7X. It's not a labeled Open Road and I'm not sure if it's Clear Beaver after all the reading I've done, but I really love it anyway.
Gotta say, that is one cool fedora! It looks right at home on you too.

AnA, I like the straw also. Nice texture and overall shape.

Alan, thanks for the link to the 7X Clear Beaver thread....I learned a lot (and still am).

As for me, I'm going to my father's ranch to feed his herd today. He had a surgery and is out of commission.
I will not be wearing my new, light colored hat, to say the least.

This is my recent purchase....1970's Vintage 4X Beaver Resistol "Stagecoach" fedora...It was modified from a cowboy hat...this hat is clean and flawless throughout and is like new...the bashed crown is 5' tall in the front to 4' in the back...it has the original dark brown and tan satin lining with the Resistol "Stagecoach" logo under plastic...

You are very welcome. These are among the best Stetson had to offer in the postwar period... worth collecting when you can find them.

Thanks for the thumbs up Jared and all - much appreciated!

Manfred, your new Mayser is wonderful.

Alive'n'Amplified great looking Borsalino and Champ!

Thanks, Tom!!

'Preciate it, Manfred. The Milan came out great! It was very tapered when I first bought it, and it was still a little tapered when Mike sent it back, so I had steamed it and reshaped the crown. Now, the profile fits my face much better. Your Mayser is a stunner; a very rich looking color!

AnA, I like the straw also. Nice texture and overall shape.

Thank you, Monte. I hope your dad has a speedy recovery!!

I've been away for a few days, so just catching up.

Manfred The Mayser really works for you. Love the color

Robert The Elegante is worthy of its name.

Jockos The hat, the coat, the scarf--all work together. It makes me think about looking into the Moonstone Akubras.

T Jones Too bad that Resistol didn't work out size-wise. It looks great on you in the photos.

Last night in San Francisco, sporting the Optimo

And needing a hat to eat breakfast in this morning, I threw on the old Akubra Fed IV
