Akubra Fed IV Deluxe. I've had it for a week and I've just about got it the way I want it to look. Thanks to all of you for the information that's been posted here previously about this hat. It helped me make the decision to buy it and what to expect when it came to bashing and shaping.

I might at some point, i'm just inexperienced in that area and have a wee bit of fear of doing any damage to the ribbon.

I know the feeling! You can always look for ribbon of the same color, and save the current one?

I might try that, finding a color match is going to be a slight pain as the felt is more of a rust or brick color than a true brown. Bringing it into Pauls Hatworks might be my best option.

Thank you, as well! That is way too neat! My grandfather also owns a '48 Plymouth (the reason my father went out and aquired one for us), is so we can go to shows with the grandpa, and my father can park his next to his dads! We also have a '49 chevy truck that is being worked on Hopefully both will be driveable come late Spring!
