Thanks Ale! I would generally agree. The ultra tall straighter crowns were less popular and didn't last long in the mainstream. This hat probably doesn't have a European maker(no labels) but is more in the "Borsalino" style.

Back in NH after our wedding in Harwich, Mass. The projected storm wasn't as bad as expected - even got some nice outdoor photos overlooking the ocean.

The beach was deserted, desolate, rainy and windy earlier today. I really enjoy wearing the Black Cherry Penman.

Oh, thanks for the comments on the new sketchy avatar. I'd tried several apps to do this, but was never happy with the result. In the end I had this guy on Fiverr make me a caricature from a photo: http://fiverr.com/mmaval I buggered about with the file in Photoshot quite a bit after he sent it.

David, I love coastal shots very nice beach there even if its cold,,,
I used to be at the beaches before sunrise fishing many years ago almost daily
Hence the nickname seabass was for Striper Bass which are originaly from the East Coast.
man i lost many good hats plugging in the surf.. But always got my Limit

Perry; Oh yea, thats a Biltmore hat. I like it. I picked up a couple of Blltmore hats, but they had to be released as they were in tough condition. With your pic as a model, I will continue to seek a similar lid. Nice outfit sr!
