a bit exhausting to see all the beautiful photos, but you have
not disappoint me, you all look great.

Alan, Mike, Randall, Che, Rogera, Perry, Sam, David and Al, my sincere thanks, guys for the recovery wishes. The flu in Germany is very aggressive
this year, half Germany fights, also the recovery lasts longer as before. Crazy.
Now the fever is gone and it goes better and better in small steps.

Randall and Perry, be careful, guys. Stay warm! A good German domestic remedy is a hot chicken bouillon! That helps.
A speedy recovery for you and get well soon.

Trying to catch up after having been away from the lounge for a bit is impossible. There's just so many wonderful hats that have been posted lately.

I did have to comment on this one though. Even though I'm a couple days late, I wanted to wish Lily a very Happy Birthday! The Chai birthday is a big one and Mazel Tov to the both of you. My Grandparents always told me that children bring many things, but mostly its Naches. This is an absolutely wonderful picture!! :eusa_clap:eusa_clap

Thank you AL!

And thank you Josh for the good wishes. As another New Yorker said reflecting on his riches, I fell like I am the luckiest man on the face of the earth.

Cap day in Minnesota's 3'F morning weather. Wind chill this morning put it around -25'F. My Dawes, Yorkshire England, Harris Tweed cap kept my head toasty this morning. A gym mom commented that with my cap I resembled Mickey Rooney. Naaaa..?? She watches different movies than me.

Straws & Salvage

A bit of a long and rambling post, but this entire week will be consumed by Ryan and his school musical(over 2000 photos taken last night at the run-through), and I am uncertain when it will be possible for me to contribute again to this thread.

Last Friday evening after work, enjoying "Pasta Night" with Lydia while Ryan was at the extended rehearsal for the school musical "Music Man". My faithful Natural Beaver Belly OPTIMO.

Low-flying hot air balloon Saturday morning as we began our day.

Looking for additional, back-up vintage straw boaters for Ryan and his cast-mates. '40s Stetson Royal DeLuxe St. Regis Homburg.

Ancient Portis Yeddo in an amazing state of preservation.

Picked up two other old skimmers as well, all from Lydia's friend and antiques shop owner. Stetson Select Quality at top, and Kenmore 'Ventilated' in the middle.

Nepalese brunch.

John's shop afterwards for an important meeting.

Smiles all around.

Magnificent terracotta acroterium from the long lost 1910 Physicians & Surgeons Building in Minneapolis. This was one of four acroteria which decorated the top of the building.

Some of the finest ornamental ironwork we have seen. From a long lost St. Paul building, ca. 1900.

Catching the Bloomington Civic Theater's wonderful production of 'Cabaret' once again Saturday evening.

Knocking about Sunday morning in Minneapolis. Millard-Hirsch 'Twenty-Five'.

The lovely verdigris spire of the SS Cyril & Methodius Church in NE Minneapolis. Built by Slovak immigrants in 1917.

At The Anchor for fish & chips.

wasn't feeling terrific-rain was coming in, starting new project and looked under the bed for some over-size paper- and there's
my Resistol Beaver One Hundred box- took out my hat...and put on the softest, silkiest, smoothest felt I've ever had the privelege to
own; in a Western stlye (but Fedora cut-) so not sloppy soft, has a real pop to the body-but the felt...have heard of mink, chinchilla, cashmere
blends with beaver, but this hat, in a real Silverbelly, with really thin ribbon and 1/16" edge binding, just took all of the clouds away...
it's a real treat to own a vintage Fedora that's incomparable with today's offerings- now if I only wore it more often...
