what kind of mushrooms are those? i assume you are going to eat those? the only ones we ever picked / ate as a kid were the Morels and I haven't seen any of those in years.

Actually a couple nights ago, Hückel (Weilheim) Chevreau.

great pic and awesome hat!

My 1st proper hat, a Linney "Stratford" taken yesterday at Holkham Hall in Norfolk. Pity the flap on my jacket pocket isn't a bit neater.

a very proper outfit, looks great!

Wonderful charcoal drawing of the MN Opera's "Nabucco" done by Mike Reed. While "Nabucco" may not be among Verdi's most popular or often-staged operas, it remains one of my favorites. Seeing the ingenious, candle-lit full moon(on the day of the Mid-Autumn Festival) ascend on stage while the chorus sang "Va, pensiero" made tears well up in my eyes.

great combo, I love the colors

For TAR Tuesday, I went with Ole Reliable = Stetson 7X CB....wore it most of the weekend while going thru Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC...

I drove by the Biltmore Estate several years ago, always wanted to go in, but didn't get a chance. you have any photos?

My old Fed IV kept my noggin warm today, but I think it looks better on the post than on me...

David-- whew! lookin' sharp, today man. Great shot of a great Borso.

Holy cow, Sam. I love that hat. Not sure I could pull off that color, but your VS Max is a very fine lid, and a very appropriate shade for its namesake. I love the flange, the crease, and the finish (not to mention the cool ribbon treatment). Have you posted a head-on view of that crease?
Both of my Falcon Parks have a very minimal flange in the back-- I've come to prefer that for some reason, although that is not to say I don't like the other ones, too. Actually I wore that Brill's all last weekend, and it's immediately in my top ten.

gtdean: I dig.

Eric, God I love that Sahara. It's one of my favorite colors I see around here. Excellent.

Robfedorafield-- cool Fed. perfect I.J. crease!

A thrift store excursion yesterday led to the purchase of a color I've never worn before until today. I thought it was a perfect opportunity to give my Knudsen Bat Masterson some wear (yes, the custom western weight wool one!).

Thanks Bowlerman, I like both heavily flanged and lightly flanged hats. For this hat the lighter flange works well. It might be easier for me (here close to NYC) to wear this than it would be for you out in a less metropolitan area. I used to live in Omaha and I think my hats would have drawn more attention there than they do here. I very rarely receive any comment on my hats, even this hat, which is way outside what one would normally see on the street.

I've got a couple of sort-of head on shots

DJH, are any of your starts not early? Very nice Borsalino.

Good point - I do like to get going early, try and take the day by surprise. Love the Max!

Dave, nice Borso!

Thanks, AnA!

Dave; Ever sharp in a hat. The borso is a classic.

Thanks Eric. This Borsalino is one of my favorites. Like many of my hats, it came to me via a friend at the Lounge - in this case Nicholas (metropd)

David, wonderful combination with Hat and suit, looks sharp.

Thanks a lot, Manfred. I was speaking at a geeky barcode seminar, hence the tie!

David,Case,Tom and Eric some great looking hat's today!

Thanks a lot, Tom.

David-- whew! lookin' sharp, today man. Great shot of a great Borso.

Cheers, Jeff. The Knudson is a great style for you.

Wore my chestnut Kevin McAndrew today. I like the editing features on Photobucket. Played with these two shots. The first picture is the best representation of the color. And NO, my hair's not that grey! :) It's just showcasing the luster from the flash...

Inspired by bowlerman's "fedorisation" of a homburg, I did the same with my Breuninger. The hat was actually about about a size too big, but with the new bash (teardrop) and deeper side creases it suddenly fits!

et voila, a "hedorburg" (or maybe a homdora)
