Summer came "on time" to San Francisco, so pulled out my Black Walnut OR styled Milan from Black Sheep Hat Works for my Sunday trip to the dog park with Guthrie, my pup:

Typical, Indian Summer in the Bay Area, Jlee... I am in Marin, but wore a nice grey felt Dobbs all day yesterday at a school fair.. Yes it was hot...

Got plenty of comments and some funny looks.

Today it was a grayish Resistol Milan.

hmmmmmm! ( liquor&bail ) I dont know if i would like to ..... well at least i have my Sombrero on. lol

Living by the Delta there's plenty of Bait shop's around, I passed 5 today on a short 6 mile drive...Good to see there still here despite the economy & ton's of small buisnesses barely thriving or closing...

Soooo much catching up to do... What a great weekend of hats, though!

Alan, The new western hat (was it the 5X or 3X?) is great, but that sterling/turquoise band is amazing. I was so glad to see those pics. I don't know anything about that artist, and will have to look him up. I was fortunate to see some truly amazing beadwork over the weekend at the Northern Plains Tribal Arts Festival here in Sioux Falls, but alas no hatbands!

Jacob-- that cap looks great on you.

David-- what a great Whippet, and I'm psyched to see that eggplant today! beauties, both.

Happy Monday morning to all. Great pics this morning fellows.

This morning the temps in the 50's F had me wearing a jacket. My Stetson Playboy (50's in gray) "covered my hat needs." Pun intended.

The ribbon and felt color are darn near the same as my new VS Wanderer (granite felt). The slightly metalic, very unique color of the ribbon is very close to being the same. They are diferent sizes, but similar texture and color. I know that Art Fawcett (VS Hat artist) buys vintage ribbon. I am imagining that the color ribbon came from the same manufacturer, at about the same time. I certainly can not know that, but they are very similar. Just imagine.
