Chose an old black Stetson today. Fray sweatband and frayed ribbon bow (2 sides)... makes me feel a little less rough around the edges.

Best birthday card ever... and I've seen a few. (Note the birthday boy buried beneath the bounty).

Alan, I was about to comment on the jaunty snap or is it snappy jaunt to that hat on you , but then scrolled down to see the real reason for your pert appearance. Very best wishes for many more.

Great hat! It would be perfect for memphis in may.

Thanks, Rusty! Its going to be there for sure! :)

I see what you mean. Ironing should help. Very nice Milan, Josh.

Thanks again, Ale! At work just now I actually tried something that I think worked pretty well. I weighed the crown down with my desk stapler and sprayed the brim break with water. I then pushed around the break with my finger to flatten it and then set the hat by my desk fan in order to dry. I think it came out pretty good. I will still do an ironing later. I love Milan's, but boy are they finicky. :eusa_doh:

Josh, I love seeing your hat transformations. Milan brims to seem prone to drooping but no worries, they have medication for that.

Thanks so much, Alan! I wonder if Walgreens sells prescription strength hat stiffener....:D

Sharp specimen, David. Looks good on you.
+1 on that.

Thanks a lot, guys. Super Borsalinos today, Hatto and Ale!!

David, howdy, he looks fantastic. Enjoy it

Thank you Manfred, I just feel very fortunate to have found this hat. I like the Akubra you are wearing today. It's funny, I wear a fedora every single day, but I'm too self conscious to step outside in the one western style hat I have.

What a wonderful crown shape on that one! Wear that hat with pride!!

Thanks so much, Josh. Great milan for you today!

David, Beautiful 7X CB! Amazing finish!

Cheers, Steve! I'm loving this one already!

Eric - nice new Panama. Glad it's getting warmer for you - hopefully the good weather makes its way east soon!

Some lovely hats today, with a special :eusa_clap for David's 7XCB. There are many wonderful things about a 1950s 7X... one that shows well in today's photo is the beautiful brim flange - elegant, aerodynamic, just the right amount of stiffness. Glad you found such a nice one, David.

Thank you Alan. This one was just a lucky find, I looked into the murky waters of that overfished Bay at just the right time.
I hope you are having a great birthday - your black Stetson looks familiar and the birthday card is brilliant!
