New Christie's, bought a year ago at Orvis, but never had a black or gray coat to wear with it. So today, with temps in the 40s, this light leather blouson was pressed into service. (and the right brim was upturned earlier...should I wear it up (left) or down (right)...or one of each?

New hat for the afternoon. Back at the gym. We have a big meet in Milwaukee, WI, this following our hosting a big meet this past weekend. Lots of gym set-up still, meet paper work, coaches notes and planning. I am whooped.

Back at the gym in my VS Dove. The felt color dove is very versatile. It can show the gray, lavender, blues and even a muted red like the doves in my backyard. Eric -

That's what I like about you, Eric! No shame in having a morning and afternoon hat (evening one too?) for each day. Both stunning. Both different. +1 on all those previous comments about the amazing shade of green.

Nice tall crown there, Redwoodjedi!
And Alan, what can I say? That hat's got V's all over it. upside down or right side up-- good choice!

I was going to "choose" a hat today, but on the way out the door this morning my 4 yr old son (after asking why I had to wear hats) pointed out that my Steve Stetson lord's hat "matches" my coat and sweater, and I had no choice but to agree.

So that's what it was for me today, again-- a good 4 day run so far!

I finally couldn't take the wait for my campdraft, so I ordered a bushman to westernize. Here it is on a gloomy afternoon along with my (thankfully) unneeded trench coat. The picture doesn't show it, but they're the same color in normal lighting.

I love these early morning shots! Nice lid, David.
Best looking gas puumper out there, Dave!
David-- I love that shot!
David, nice Turmwater, but you, need a coffee. It shines, you need a bit sleep, too. :D

Thanks guys - Manfred, no problem; coffee got me through the day just fine.

Some nice hats today.

Eric - I think your green Stratoliner is the twin of one of mine. Love the D VS too.

Hatto - nice colours on the Tilden.

Ale - the Borsalino is just fantastic; yours too J.

RWJ - hard to imagine you coming up with a hat that suits you more; perfect for you! Keep drinking the wine!

Jared - always nice to see your PE Optimo.

Alan - honestly I really don't think I could carry off those hats the way you do!

masiaka - the bushman is looking good; good choice!

It is a Borso. But it's a modern one---the Film, to be exact. Wanna trade? ;)

Not happening, jbucklin lol lol

Looks great! The one that blew away was a Trionfo too, right?

Yes! you have an amazing memory, Alan. The rascal hat gods decided to offer me another one in replacement of the Trionfo they stole from me during their wind games at the Brooklyn bridge! lol

It was a plain, single typical bow and a thinner ribbon and rotten in parts. The crown height screamed wider band so I re did it.

Perry, Ray, David, Ale, Jeff - thanks for your notes!

Alan, that fur looks long enough to comb and part! U B stylin!

This hat is wonderful to the touch. Between the soft silky fur and the big supple brim, it feels more like a child's stuffed teddy bear than a western hat. I have to work very hard at looking rugged when I wear it, cause it just makes me smile inside. ;)
