Happy holidays to all! Last night at the Duomo di Milano wearing the only hat I brought, a Borsalino. From this angle, you can't see all the Xmas decorations and the tree they put up. I'll post more shots when back to the USA.

Like Douglas, I pulled out a lightweight Dobbs today. This is the Cross Country Flanul, a wartime mixture of 80% fur and 20% wool. It is very light and it wears the sharpest diamond crease of any hat in my stash. It is has some significant ventilation, but I like it anyway.

My guess (based mainly on total speculation) is that the hat is probably late 50's or early 60's. I think it is relatively young based on what I've read here and from the inside label that doesn't have the Borsalino name on it.

The logo in the liner looks to be more recent than some of my other Borsalinos as well, although it seemed that the various retail stores could choose the liner for the hats they imported, so this might not be reliable.

What matters most of course is that the hat is made of that super soft Borsalino felt and is very nicely styled. Looks great on you, Javier!

Thanks David. I will soon be the proud owner of three Borsos. I requested a new Film as my Christmas gift from my wife. It is still boxed and can't be opened till Christmas morning; I ordered a new modern Alessandria which is scheduled to be deliverd today. Both of these were purchased from Bencraft. The third one is a vintage Alessandria which I bought from a fellow lounger whose name will remain undisclosed until I have received the hat. The pics look great though! That one should be here either tomorrow or early next week.
