Looking good in the black, Dave.
Al another set of fine photos and hats to go. I especially love that tweed jacket.

Today the American Hat Company.

Great look with the hat, shirt and tie today, Perry, and thanks for the kind words. I am quite fond of the English tweed country jacket as well.

I am impressed with the pics featuring such terrific hats fellows. You definately look good in your fedoras.

A: Your Borso is a hat that is very complimentary on your head. Quite striking.

DJH: A VS today. If my memory is correct that lid has the creative VS ribbon with a swash of marroon. You wear it well.

D: You should be proud to take a creative step with fedoras who, for the most part, have been very trad. in shape and form.

Perry; Your outfits compete with your hats for style some days - you got style.

Al: What to say - you put this Twin Cities, MN guy to shame. Your pics give me need to get out to the Science Museum, Orchestra Hall and St.Paul eateries more. No less featured are members of you fedora gang. The blue Optimo had me wide eyed when the pic started to fill in on my computer screen. Great color and features. Silverbelly - just a classic hat. No slouches are your other gang members.

Ahhh, I should choose a hat and be off for the day. The Fedora bar is very high, Eric -

I agree on both counts... but have to give a quick high five to AL's tri-super-tops weekend. Positively three-historic!

Great kick-off to the week ahead.

cheers,
Alan

+1 and thanks gentlemen for your kind words about my Borsalino. Terrific hats today, so far!

The large painting is by my uncle, Nat Ramer. He was born in 1902 and died in the late 1980s... a WPA artist who worked for fifty years from a studio above Max's Kansas City on Park Avenue South (I don't think it's still there). This abstraction was from his early masonite period 8^). The small painting was given to us by a Serbian neighbor when he moved years ago.

The brothers and sisters of my paternal grandmother were quite an interesting group. They emigrated from the Ukraine in 1905. I wish they wore hats... I would share more pictures. One went to Spain with the Abraham Lincoln brigades and died fight with the loyalist forces. The others all lived to ripe old ages. The youngest, my Aunt Sylvia, was very premature for that era and spent the first months of her life in a dresser drawer. She is the only one still living, turned 96 this summer.

Thanks, Eric, you are far too kind. Your fantastic collection of beautiful lids never fails to impress. We have definitely got to plan a get together to share our mutual passion for hats. Whenever we see a dapper gent with a lid on in the Twinc Cities, Ryan and Lydia always ask whether they could be you!

That Millard is the bee's knees!

Thanks for your kind words, it is a special hat for sure.

All nice hats guys, I agree the bar is high, Eric.
Thanks for kudos, Al and Eric, you are both "stylin" guys yourselves.

Thanks again, Perry!

Awesome hats.

Perry-- American Hat Co. looks great! Taller than usual?
Al-- great trio, love the Silver Belly Optimo and the Millard, but I think the salient one is Optimo's triumphant tungsten-- wow!
Alan and David-- those blacks are so simply striking.

I'll jump on the boat too, regarding your uncle's painting. What wonderful work!
