Finally starting to warm up around here and my Campdraft is getting a bit warm for hiking with the doggies.

Time for my Panama Bob cheapo hat.

These are just fantastic value and nice and cool for warmer days.

There's lots to be said for low-end straws, David, as you have discovered. I like keeping a few around for those occasions when I'm doing things that might threaten a hat's well-being. Among mine are three essentially identical 40-buck jobs whose style I dig. One is getting pretty ratty, one is still suitable for wearing for something other than blue jeans, and one has yet to be worn outside the house.

Thanks. I'm not sure what grading Bob uses. I brought it to Optimo myself(local for me). Very nicely woven-straight alignment and consistent fiber width, tightness, color and edge shape.

Nice one, rlk.

We've got the same weather, so we hit a couple of parks with my niece. Between the wind and the heat, I was only in the Borso part of the time.

There we go. Now it's official. Show us your crazy-eyed-mini-bike-rockin'-crooked-fedora-wearin' photos.

Yes indeed Tony - it's nice to have something you don't mind being lost in the canal or just generally beaten up!

Lefty - it's great to take little guys to the park to have an excuse to play on everything. Looks like you all had great fun!!

Nice photos, guys. The heat was a day behind here. I waited for my date to get ready on Saturday night and savored a few quiet minutes in the sun with my oldest Borsalino.

Alan: you just can't go wrong with a Borsalino. Is that vintage? Looks new, but it doesn't look like what is offered in the stores these days.

Bart: You are a natural for that natural hat, naturally...... The rust/brown ribbon was a good choice.

Hi Dennis - thirties or forties on the Borsalino. Imported for sale in the U.S. through Young-Quinlan Department Store in Minneapolis. It is in very clean shape.
