Back in casual with Dunn & Co

I picked up this Dunn and Co thin ribboned trilby recently. I've no idea of its age but I'm thinking late 40's -50's from the look of the sweat, the style of the lettering, the pleated liner and the use of the (now very brown) oil cloth on the lining. I think I'll christen it the Wonnacott, in honour of English antiques TV presenter Tim Wonnacott who has a fondness for such lids (though he always has his snapped down all the way round).
It's a very comfortable hat with "Lightweight" felt. Think I'll keep it for casual wear.

Brim - 2" sides, 2-1/4" front
Binding - none
Sweatband - Around 1-6/8"
Ribbon - Thin
Size - English 2-1/8
Crown 5"
Crease - Wide centre dent

Nice looking hat there Mario. I think longer brims are starting to grow on me. By the way, did you do the bash on the hat in your avatar, because I'v been admiring that for a while now, and was wondering if you could share a few pointers on getting that razor dimond if you did it yourself.

Many thanks Neil. Yes, I do crease all my hats on my own. That 4-point diamond is the bash I used on most of my lids, even though I do have a few teardrops and even more center dents as well. I promised to do a photo tutorial on the 4-point diamond, but I'm afraid that I won't be able to do it anytime soon...

Here are a few examples of my kites in greater detail:

I, too, like that 4-point diamond crease. Beautiful hat!
