Still having felt temps this morning, back to the 90s all next week. To celebrate, I ran out for some mochas for the wife and I. Further celebration was my Mallory XV on my head. Feels so good to at least wear it for a couple of hours...

Way to explore the homburg style of hat. Excellent. I found the larger brimmed homburgs to be more frequently reached for and worn. The homburgs can be worn informal - mine 99% of the time are worn informal.

Some wicked hats on this thread. Here's my 40's Stratoliner, had to bring it out for the cool breeze on this late afternoon. I think I'm getting better at hat photos! Hope these turned out well, so I can demonstrate this hat at its best.

Also "Camber" is a model name used by different Hat Companies in Germany and Austria during this time period (see below).

The Ventilo felt vents can be seen above the top edge of the sweatband.

A Vanzina velour from Daniele. The feeling of the felt is spectacular! Daniele was right in that putting xxxs or stars to grade the felt of a hat is just a sales gimmick.
The narrow brim will take a little getting used to, but I don't think it looks bad.

Another great straw today. Love the weave on this one too. I've been eyeballin a Monti sub fino semi colado of late from them. Looks like the quality is there. Now I just need to get off my dime.

The brim on that Borsalino really turns me on. A fine Dobbs as well.

Very interesting story with this one. The changes in language to suit the market are cool. I think the multi-colored P.C. Habig liner logo is one of my favorites of the fancy German innards. Great color too. You do good hat Steve...

Fascinating history on the hat, and the ad looks awesome! I have to say, the company's crest looks far ahead of its time, nothing I would expect from a hat of this era.
