Hemp Stratoliner at the park with the kids today. Summer is here in Kentucky! Temps in the upper 80's this week. I enjoyed wearing this hat during some Derby gigs my bluegrass band played this weekend too!

Nice hat, but you just got photo-bombed by a little doll!

F. G. M. In dark green velour. This is a recent acquisition and my first/only wear before it gets boxed for the summer. Another reason to look forward to autumn.

So cool looking Brent, I gotta get me one of these.

Recent find. Royal Stetson. Olive. Though it has a gray-ish tint, it is olive! The brim treatment reminds me of the trim on a Stetson Flagship I saw in the Lounge. Has some nibbles and bites. But that felt! It has the hand of a 3X Beaver to me.
Great Stetson NJ! Very interesting color. Had to sift through every picture on the lounge that posted with yours, but very enjoyable trip down today's memory lane. Good on ya!

Dunlap again today. It was so bright the hat wasn't enough, hence the shades.

Such a nice looking summer hat. Glad to see the weather has improved for you in Holland.

Another ITA, two in a matter of days. Classic lines and great liner. I think I'll have an IPA!

Boy this new format has really thrown me for a loop, you grew that beard so quick. Very disturbing, but a wonderful Weis.

I like that color. I have to give Stetson come credit for imprinting a proper Boeing on the sweat. Nice!

The heat and humidity continue (but only for about nine more months) - so, today it's vented shantung Stetson Open Road. Not a faux-straw fan (other than it's indestructability) but this one is much lighter than the regular shantung OR's and the open-weave makes a huge difference. I like the warm color much better than the "white" ones.

Feeling a bit under the weather yesterday, I decided to take a personal day. As we all know, idle hands are the Devil's workshop, so after laying around a bit I finally motivated myself to finishing this refurb. About a month ago, I found a Dobbs Hanover Square at an estate sale for the astronomical price of $2.50. A little beat, and a bit dirty, with a few nibbles, but all in all still in acceptable shape. In preparation for a bath, I had my first bad Lexol experience. After treating the sweat, I went back and looked several hours later and the leather had separated from the reed assembly in such a way it was not repairable. So a call to Bond set me up with a new sweatband. I gave it a naphtha bath, a good steam bath, ironed out the crown, and re-flanged it. I took the opportunity of being at home yesterday to cut and install the new sweat (in addition to putting a new sweat in a hat for my wife).

So today, a Dobbs Hanover Square. Hat by Dobbs, unfinished sweat by Bond, refurb by Fruno.

Some of the original sweat. There were no store debossments.

Nice save Jim. Great hat. Since the threat of rain has turned into sunshine it put me in the mood to don the Hanover Square while sitting out on the new patio furniture set I thrifted yesterday.

The comfort factor for coffee in the yard mornings skyrocketed with the new chairs.

Thanks, Mike. Can't get much cooler than Snoopy, but one of my nicknames was in fact "Woodstock". So more like this:
