Will probably change to a field hat if that happens.

Rarely does an orphaned jacket from a suit work but because of its casual nature and uniqueness it looks "right" as a sportcoats/blazer. I'm jealous.
I would probably wear this one as a separate more often than as a suit even if I had the pants. But I'm not as critical as some about orphan suit coats in any case. I stay away from pinstripe worsted, but other fabrics and patterns I like quite well. And when it comes down to it, I have a couple of modern jackets that I know were sold as sports coats when new that are pinstripe worsted. Go figure.

Looking good. Happy hunting!

Thanks Jim. You are looking good today under the shade of the Whippet. The jury is still out on whether I'll work up the energy to get out hunting or not. Probably too early to find much, given our recent weather, but could be a nice day in the woods in any case.

Thanks,
Michael

Last week I watched an old Zorro movie. Ever since, I've been hankering to wear this Fernandez y Roche sombrero cordobés.

And my wearing it is not cultural appropriation because my grandparents lived in Andalusia. O.K.... it was Andalusia, Alabama rather than Spain. Still... that is an Andalusia.

Annihilated by the sudden heat and completely out of season I took refuge in the most idle laziness possible to withstand summer temperatures around 28 degrees Celsius

First straw hat of the season. PHD of canonical form

The morning walk is pleasant, the return in the afternoon much less.
Today we were gasping after returning home in the middle of the afternoon. We hope the heat will be lessened

Some new straw hat will be ready for the season .....hoping soon

Thanks for the likes of the past days. Have a nice week!
