Trip to PDX to drop off my research paper proposal for my professor. Russian History, I'm doing a 25 pager about the 1963 Nuclear Test Ban Treaty and the global peace movement led by Nobel Laureate Linus Pauling. I have access to his papers, lots of hand written correspondence to JFK and Khrushchev. Wearing my Hückel Special from the mid 1950s. Sold in the shop of the "Flying Finn" Paavo Nurmi.
I need to do some serious catching up, but the hat game is strong with my friends over the past 48 hours!!!

Lovely hat Mike.

Very interesting proposal. Sounds like a fun project. Nifty to have the primary materials at your finger tips.

Nice sunny morning here. What will hopefully be the last snow of the season is forecast to show up tomorrow. For today though I'm feeling somewhat recovered and may even jaunt down to the library. Under this Stetson 4X

Thanks Fabio. Yes, corduroy, made by Lee Wald. They were a long time maker of western oriented dress clothes. You had three super looks in your photo shoot today. Very well put together.
Thank you. I did wear basically the same charcoal suit in the three photos, just added a black overcoat for the fedora and a frock instead the suit jacket for the topper one.

If ever a hat was a standard to be, this hat would be it. Imho. It has it all! Grey, black, brim, felt. It makes me realize there are still hats out there to be sought!

Two hat day, I just brought this to an early evening late afternoon cocktail, I had a negroni. Early 50s borsalino, aka my precious. View attachment 114811 View attachment 114812 View attachment 114813
Yeah... If ever there was a hat to go Gollum on, that's it.
I have been so busy, been getting behind on reading posts. Wearing the Resistol San Antonio today. The wind finally died down!
