Plum is such a wonderful color of trim with that shade of felt. And regardless of whether it really does anything, the Air-Vac cooling "system" is just such a nifty concept. Even if it doesn't noticibly cool, it doesn't have to, because it IS cool.

That's a very fine looking homburg, Chuck. I like the way they did the sweatband. Was the windcord already wrapped around the bow-keeper, or did you do that? Never seen that before.

However, there’s no school today so I’m enjoying this fellow over the top of my more familiar Southeast Asian duds. You can take the boy out of Asia...

Resistol Las Vegas (Cordova color) that @Michael R. gifted me. Flattened the brim and opened up the center dent a bit. There was an amazing amount of dye that came off when shaping it (I was just using distilled water). This was after a naptha bath. It now has a sort of mottled brown thing going on. I like it...

To be honest given the form of the hat it doesn't get as much headwear as it deserves but all the same it would be hard to let it go.

Ha, not so sure I got deleted last night, I seem to have been a bit tired and emotional as they say. Was out of order to start my own cussing thread at any rate so hopefully the mods delete that rather than me.

Stetson 100 with VS ribbon treatment this morning for church. Didn't photograph well today. The jacket and ribbon appears gray. The ribbon is brown and the jacket is golden/brown. The picture of the fedora on the kitchen counter is more accurate for color.
