That is a super color, Red. Great.

Thanks Red. Earflaps down mode was the ticket today. I was very comfortable on my hour long bike ride in that outfit.

That's a great quartet of hats to catch up with Stefan. All were great, but I am particularly keen on the homburgs. I need more 'burgs, and more heathers.

Wowser Bob. That hat is aptly named. Should be the Really Special.

Michael
Thanks, Michael. You know it made me wonder there for a second if I have a heather homburg. And I do (thank goodness). Here they are:

Thanks Stefan! I was envying your Homburgs today and wondering if you run across anything in 7-1/2 LO or 7-5/8 and if I had anything to trade...

Thanks Harv! Wonderful Weis today!

Thanks Michael! I liked that 3X Stetson, but loved the tunic!

Thanks Scott! I bet I can guess which hat you were still wearing today. Also ... really enjoyed the guns you shared in that thread.

Thanks Mike! Loved the blue Lees of London ... especially the "boudoir" liner.
I'll keep an eye out, Bob. Long ovals are not something I have ever found over here in any size, but a 7 5/8 is not unheard of (but rare).

Great looking hat. Wondering if you could post a few more pics, please? Interested in seeing the crown, inside and out.
Also, what’s it feel like?
Much appreciated.

I like the Stetsonian and I’m bummed that it has been discontinued. The felt is stiffer than my Premier Stratoliners, but it is in no way cardboard in feel like some of my Akubras. The felt is substantial and best for cooler temperatures; this is not a lightweight hat. The hat does has great proportions and I wish I could have one in the Excellent grade.

They’re getting hard to find so if you want one you had better get one now. I got mine a JJ’s when they had a 25% off sale.

I like the tawny color, but the nap of the felt causes it to look discolored in certain light and from certain angles.

I’m always glad to answer questions if you have additional.

Brent

The top shot shows the great proportions of this hat well. The outfit is outstanding, Michael.

Another early soft hat from the century club - with a Stetson mark that I have not seen on another survivor from the era. The early silver foil store imprint is very nice on this hat - I've found it flaked off in other old hats.

Mullen & Bluett in 1911, the era when this hat was sold.

Superlative, Alan. Not all black hats are created equal and this one proves it.
