Heading out under Brig. Gen. Waters' Superfine Knox.
Mike, Thank you! These incredible wool stiff felts never cease to amaze me Steve. Blacker than black.
Thanks Jim!
I save this one for when I need the "Wow" factor. Looks like it works!
That's a real looker Bob. I love that hat.1950s Royal Stetson “Kashmir Finish” in varying light from this morning.

Off for a little trip to the library in a bit.
Hope your Saturday is getting off to a good start
Michael
A belated Thanks Matt. Looking great under the General's hat today, by the way. Thanks Mike.
I'm thinking about getting it blocked for more crease versatility. But I am pleased to have it as it is.
The porkpie seems to be one of the red-headed step-children around the Lounge. Certainly, not strongly disliked (like the trilby seems to be), but just kind of... well... neglected.
When I put one on, it is a look that takes me a little getting used to. That's especially true for wearing it with the brim up. I'll never be able to kill the look like Michael, but it's another fun way to try to try something different.
Those are both great looking hats. And your clothes fit them to a T. The porkpie is a great look for you.
Thanks Bob. Yes, I do like that tie. And it does seem to match up with this hat pretty well too.Looking great this morning Michael! The tie is as fantastic as the hat!
Thanks Roger. Seemed liked some good clothes to relax away a Saturday.Perfect ensemble Michael!
This hat would be beautiful just as it sits (on your head), but this history of the General is priceless. It is cool that he was a PMS at the "other" OSU! Usually you just see a bird Colonel in these positions. Great history Matt, makes my heart go pitter patter!Heading out under Brig. Gen. Waters' Superfine Knox.
I can't help but wonder what sort of tie dye jackets he wore when, during his tenure as warden, he was reading aloud the death warrants of the condemned at the Oklahoma state pen's death house. Perhaps I'm on the wrong track there, though...
Did just find out that he had a law degree. That's kind of neat.
Have a superduper and satisfying Saturday.
Looks great Bob! A real super trooper!Knowing where I fall in the ranks of hat collectors (Matt sporting a General’s hat today for example) I’m headed out in a Resistol Trooper.
