Under the category of "If you've got a holiday, I'll celebrate," I wish the world a joyous PURIM, the Jewish Mardi Gras!! (No beads necessary!) It was yesterday.

Wearing "Old English Hatters of Monte Carlo" of an undetermined age (manufacturing techniques remained the same for several decades, so guesses have ranged from the 1930s to the early 1960s). Open crown to start, but I installed a dent and some gentle pinches later. I may even snap down the brim!

And it has a BB!

Hey all!
Third day under the Ècuyer & Thomas for Motsch Fils, and like the first only worn briefly as weather has forced another inside day. However, when the realization sinks in that the last of the ice cream was enjoyed last night, one must gear up and brave the elements.

The more I handle and wear this hat, the more impressed by the quality of the felt. Makes it just a bit more of a bummer that they are no longer in business.
Have a great day!

Thanks Richard. I never could figure out what model this is. The original sweat had been replaced before I got it. The ribbon is a close match to the brim binding so I don't think it has been changed out, but what do I know. Whatever it is I like it. A nice bright hat.

Thanks,
Michael

So I asked myself this morning, "Self, should I wear a light gray hat or a dark gray hat?"

Tall crowns rule

Heading south to see a man about a hat. Wearing the new Lees fedora from Stefan on a trip to NW Hats in Eugene. I'll make sure to say hello to all your hats in process while I'm there. This Lees has a brim curl that I'm still undecided about. Brim up or down. I don't usually go all "Bob" with my non Homburgs. This one might stretch my comfort zone.

Super blue Lees Mike. Definitely brim down on that one.

Great one Justin. That's the first non-white Railbird I've seen.

You'll find the pin and the embroidered Last Drop liner on Longhorns. But the liner could have been used on any high quality hat from the mid 50s to earlier. Looks good regardless of what model it is.

Looking really sharp Brent. I think that is a very versatile color. Catching raindrops!

Weekend starts Thursday for me. So I'm celebrating by wearing the Royal DeLuxe UsedToBeAHomburg while I go out for fellowship and comaraderie.

Have a great night.

You be careless out there Matt. Great one indeed.

Very nice PB Wyldkarma. Welcome to the Fray. That is a very impressive bonsai over your shoulder. Would love to see more of it.

Another beauty Steve. That felt looks delicious and the extra stitching on the brim binding is a really cool sign of quality
