Early 1950s Mallory XV with gills this morning. I will be dealing with the Maple Disaster of 2018 today. We will rebuild!

A big wet, windy storm here in the Willamette Valley took down a maple tree and most of our back fence about 1:30 today. It looks like the root ball had rotted away in the wet ground. At least the winds were blowing away from the house. Needed to replace that fence anyway... Honest, I ran to put on a hat (Dobbs Twenty) to take these pictures. My wife stopped crying and was rolling on the floor laughing!

Cold, sunny and windy in Verona and in the NorthEast. Snow on the tthers Italian regions

Historical Barbisio Qualità Extra made in Sagliano Micca in the original factory

Color is "Sesia" and the type of the felt is "Talpa pelo corto lucido"

Moths have lunched abundantly in this felt, leaving many traces in the lower part of the brims

Luckily the upper part has few traces.
For lovers of linings the interior with the Barbisio brand and inscriptions

The rare snow in Rome made our news here in Oregon today. Perfect hat for inclement weather Daniele. Very cool ribbon work.

I never knew Dobbs were the go-to hats for downed fencing. I have been wearing Resistols for many of my fence downings in error. You learn such neat things on TFL.
