Heavy rains called for this afternoon, so I'm taking the Excellent Stratoliner out for another test flight to see how it handles it. Hopefully, better than @rclark's.

(wet) Hat tip to Matt.
Actually, it didn't get but misted on today.
@Knotten
Miss you here!! Everything okay, out there??
I would like to think that your Excellent Stratoliner would have held up, regardless...?
A Royal quality, on the other hand. [emoji57]
After an unexpected rain, based on warnings here I anticipated that the brim might droop some from the outside in. Instead, the whole enterprise sorta sagged down from the base of the crown outward. Ick.
[I set it to dry in a reasonable facsimile of its original shape, but still: Ick.]
Stetson's current "Profile 10," and the factory-proportioned Stratoliner in particular, are favorite shapes/proportions; if the Caribou SE came in an higher grade, I'd be all over it.
Instead? I now foresee at least one Gannon in my future. For which I of course blame all of you. [emoji50]
And Stetson. [emoji35]

Is that hat as light blue as it appears in these photos? I've always loved this one.
GregNYC, yeah I remember him. He's another one who had popular posts and like you said, just seem to disappear. delectan, I remember him too, just barely, though.I remember Richard. What about GregNYC? Some people get on here and go full speed ahead for years then just disappear.
I really miss delectans' posts.
Stefan, Thank you! I am not sure if I have another Stiff Felt with such a flat brim. I think this hat could be occupational but just a guess.Very nice bowler, Steve. I notice that the brim is quite flat. Is that something of the period or a style choice by Hückel?
Such a great looking hat. One of my favorites of your's, Jim.More rain, but the Playboy takes it in stride.

I have not seen Richard here in a very long time. He owns 2 hats, from me, earlier builds. He was a very nice Gentleman to work for. If anyone has contact with him, tell him I said hello. Thanks!I remember Richard as well. @ManofKent He sure came on strong and built an impressive collection!
O'Farrell this snowy morning.
Charlie, Thanks! I think this one is still not wide enough for Joao but it's close.ANOTHER STUNNER! Ok, so I commented on yesterday's slightly larger brim than we're used to... and now THIS!?! What a fabulous find of European style!! Thank you, Steve!
Don't let @Joao Encarnado see this!
Thank you!OMG I LOVE IT.
Bob, Thanks!I'd so wear that!
Stefan, Thanks again! Yes this one is unique. I think it had to have been a custom / special order.Wow. Exquisite, Steve. That's a mighty hat so to speak.
Thank you! That is Beautiful! I would wear that one in a heart beat.

Matt, Thank you! Yes it's definitely not standard. As I mentioned I think it might have been a special order."STANDARD".
Yeah, right...
That's kind of like calling a blizzard a snow flurry.
My gosh, Steve.
Bowen, Thanks! This hat is very unique + fantastic. I haven't worn it in a long while so I gave it a go yesterday.Greetings Mayserwegener et al:
Sir, everyday you have the most distinctive, distinguished assortment of hats of which i know nothing of. It seems each one is of quality above par in terms of fit and finish of most hats i see. Thank you for sharing so much so often so diligently.
That being said in all sincerity, THIS hat is one hat i believe i enjoy as much as some of the most “everything” coveted hats i have seen on the lounge ever! Every little thing about it i love! What a treat you have amongst so many. Thanks for sharing.
Be well. Bowen
Greg, Thank you! Yes it could pass as a Western style hat.I'm sure it's not my size but dang. On my head atop a horse, here; no one would believe it wasn't a western. You tire of it, Steve let me know.
Mike, Thank you! That is a Beast! To quote our beloved Ant!

I really like that Polar! And she said " what's it gonna take for you to lay your top on down"Trying to ward off the unnatural and disgustingly warm weather with the Adam THE POLAR.
Of course... I can't complain too much for there is a nice silver lining: great top down weather.
Have a thrilling Thursdee!
Thanks, Matt. Can't say enough good about the POLAR.
Top down day? That's what she said!

Thank you gentlemen. That's both for the comments on the hat and the reminder that mentally I'm still in seventh grade (and hope to never leave).I really like that Polar! And she said " what's it gonna take for you to lay your top on down"
