I think I hear a nap calling my name now.

Have a great Monday,

Great hat, Michael. And I can say I have one too! Yay!

Another wonderful example of the craft of the Italian makers, Daniele.
Thanks Stefan. The unknown brands behind which important Italian headwear companies have hidden are an unexplored chapter, also because there have been enormous realities, like Monza, that have produced millions of hats under different names. We'll talk again

Feeling a bit under the weather under some crummy weather under a Dobbs. I am regretting not getting the influenza vaccine as I hope that I am not in store for all of the fun that bug brings. Yippee.

I hope that you are all having a Monday that is as great as the hats that are on your heads.

Looks great, John. Jow does the cocnut oil treatment work? Spray it on or just rub it in?
Thanks Stefan!
I just rubbed the oil into the straw of the brim with my fingers. The crown wasn't stiff and dry, so I left it alone. The difference in the pliability was almost immediate. The straw quickly absorbed the small amount I first applied (about 1/4 teaspoon) so I applied about the same amount several hours later, paying attention to getting the woven edge.
The unsettling creaking sensation it gave when bending down the brim is gone, as is the cardboard-like feel and "thonk" as the brim snapped into place. It now seems to have all it's vitality restored.

Lovely, John. Is it a homburg though?
Thanks Stefan!
It is a homburg, one that I made the mistake of trying to iron the curl out of.
I put the curl back in with a flange I bought later. It didn't have as pronounced of a curve and curl as some of my burgs, that's why I thought I could get away with it. Turned out the exposed brim stitching and the line of darker felt formerly hidden from the sun was unappealing to me.
