The snow started on Sunday afternoon and continued until morning, then, the temperature rose and it rained all day, so no photographs of hats.
Today gray and relatively warm for the period

Borsalino Colombo in velour with brim finished with three seams

The color is "Rutenio" and the ribbon "Asfalto"

The felt is particularly soft and can be easily shaped

When it arrived I thought for half a day of having done a bad deal

Patience, distilled water, sponge, steam and brush made it new.
I am very satisfied because it is rare to find a Borsalino in velour here in Italy

Thank you for your last week's appreciation
Time permitting tomorrow we will meet again with a series of hats with short hair or velour, I found the right box;)
Wonderful, Daniele. It always amazes me how these hats come to life again with a bit of effort.

A very nippy 18 this morning. This Stetson Royal Deluxe mode edge would not be enough hat if I was going to be in the elements for any appreciable amount of time.

Have a round of fine Tuesdays, on me.

Wonderful as usual, Michael. The red jacket is a great touch.

Didn't have time to post yesterday, so here's the one I wore then. Mayser in antilope finish.

Today was a Wilson homburg in grey heather (picture makes the colours look warmer than they are).

You have been looking great for the past couple of days obviously. That Mayser is a keeper, love the rich color. Ok, that great coat is one of the epic warm weather garments we have seen in some time. And I'm including @Michael A finds too (sorry buddy, we just don't get this cool in the US Military), and it goes so well with Homburgs of all flavors.

Thanks, I'll have a double... The Deluxe Mode Edge is always a treat to see. Love the red sport coat, very festive.

Mossant, despite the cold today.

Someone pipped me on the auction site today at €28.50 on a Mossant from the 1940s (I think) with an awesome pleated ribbon. Network went slow at the wrong time! If someone from here please post pics when you get it, it looked unloved but with potential...
Damn Snipers! This Mossant is a beauty Christophe!

Blue-riginal 7 today:
I enjoy seeing your creations Justin. The wide ribbon and equally substantial Gills are definitely "Great White"!

Lovely hat, Mike. You don't need an intervention; as an historian you're just doing research!
Just what I tell my wife. Every vintage hat has a story, I am only telling them to the world.

I think the church still gives out indulgences for hats, Mike. So I think you're in the clear.

Three Hail Marys and a Stations of the Borsalino. I'm sending you an email today...

Like thinking you spent all your money, then waking up the next day to find it in a different pocket? Not that I would know anything about that.

It appears winter has arrived in Funkytown. Wind, snow, temps in the 30s; supposed to be in the low 20s when I leave work. Ugh. But fur felt weather, right?

Got home last night to find this on my doorstep. Mid 50s ( I guess) Knox Superfine. Yet to see this brown beauty in good light. It appears from looking a it last night it may have some heathering to it. Even so, it's weathering the storm OK.
