Outstanding Sergej! (and Esther)

You'll be wearing a Gus crease and/or a kettle curl before you know it.

Hey all
I started this project Thursday to try get my mind off all the troubling current events. Finished it yesterday while recovering from a tooth extraction. Wasn't sure until this morning if it would be shared. I decided that whatever I feel personally about the issues, I enjoy this community too much to just up and go. I'm still reeling, but dealing...

A Winchester rabbit I had laying around. Decided to try my hand at a Lords' Hat.

Pardon the lint.
Inside shot for Fruno.

Crown 5 1/4" open, brim 2 5/8" pre-curl. 1 1/2" ribbon I dyed black. 119g. Nothing like making it yourself for a great fit.
I thought about a doobie behind the bow for a "signature" but didn't want to risk poking the bear.

Have a day.

Love a Lord's Hat Moe. Can't wait to see that brim curl. Looks great already.

THE POLAR for the evening's events.

The Polar rules Matt. I think what turns me on most about this hat is the brim stitching. And the finish, and the crease...just a damn fine hat Matt.

Gannon goodness Rodolfo. Always love that pecan felt. Perfect shade for just about everything.

Grilling a late dinner over a wood fire. A vtg. Dobbs Comfit Custom edge fedora is just the hat for the task.

Best, Eric -
Haven't seen this one, or have we? It looks so classic 1950s/1940s. Another beauty Eric.

Thanks Red!
It has the curl in, just not as pronounced as some Lords' Hats I've seen. Had I cut the brim a touch longer I may have been able to put in a deeper curl.

Thanks, but I want to impress on folks I don't have an approach. When I responded to the Mods explanation, I asked them to address us in this. Since, while I've expressed opinions about this, I haven't addressed the Mods directly. How they handle this is up to them.

As a manager myself, my skill set leans toward team building, problem solving, and achieving a goal. My approach has always been to be open, honest, and forthright about things. Communication is key when dealing with groups of people. So when something like this happens, I am compelled to seek a solution through open dialogue. You're never guaranteed to get what you want, but at least you know where you stand and why. Stonewalling, in my experience, is counterproductive and can breed resentment and discord.

At this point, from the information I have, I wonder whether our hosts care about the community they have fostered, and this disappoints me.

Regardless, one-sided discussions are not gratifying, nor productive. So with that in mind, enjoy the hats posted, my friends.

Fruno I get it. I am just hurt and saddened by the loss of a friend in a forum I use to escape the stress and pressures of daily life. It is painful to see our little community disgruntled and conflicted. Some opting out some staying away. We all come here to enjoy the company of hat enthusiast. Not many people really understand, or tolerate our little niche sartorial hobby, but this forum provides a place of comfort, education and comradery to its members. Bob will be sorely missed and hopefully we will see him and the others again. I do not know much or actually care about the politics of forum management, but I do know human nature is not always consistent with logic. Hopefully, reason and human compassion will prevail.
