Bummer, Someone at Stetson must have been asleep at the switch. The ribbon is the best part of the hat. For a vintage lid, it is - hands down - the worst quality felt I have ever seen. I swear there are bits of rabbit leather or sinew in the mix. I pulled a couple really egregious ones out, one leaving a nice divot in the front of the brim. It's a decent beater with a cool ribbon. I like to wear it with a t-shirt. sometimes accompanied with an old vest.
I love the story of Tennessee turkey hunter Alvin York.Cool WWI and Pacific Northwest History here.
It's not a Stetson... the brand name is Aristocrat, a name I can't place. I love my vintage Stetsons.Bummer, Someone at Stetson must have been asleep at the switch.
That is fantastic.
That's a beautiful hat, Justin.Newly arrived Penney's Marathon of the older variety today. I'll take better photos this evening
I think that may be my favorite hat of yours, Bob. The colors are awesome.Northwest Hat Company. Early 1950's vintage lightweight hat body. Whipstitch brim treatment. View attachment 95135 View attachment 95136 View attachment 95137
Dude... You could wear that casual. What a great looking hat...Before I got dressed I took the pictures of the new additions to the collection. Had to try this Delion top hat. It just about fits but it's very stiff, even for a topper (the shellac went everywhere). It would really need conforming, but other toppers can take care of business if I ever get an invitation where I need one. Anyway top of the morning everyone (that was terrible, I know).
