The winery is owned by some friends, I have been going there every Thanksgiving for about 15 years. The make a very fine Pinot Gris. It's easy to look happy after a bottle of wine and under that hat. I'd stick to that tradition.
Simone gets the nod today. Nice cap, but the brim on that Esther creation...Superior.Simone and me.
Simone in a hat by Esther. My cap is by Ami Charnel.

It looks much cuter on you than he. Love the combo with that great coat. Keep it, it deserves to be on your head.Annex’d one of my mans caps.
I never noticed that cool ribbon before, I like it. The color of that beauty is stunning Doug. How was Black Friday for you? Were the lemmings waiting at the door of Cabellas before opening?View attachment 95072 Off to work in the 3x blue-grey Stetson, 1950s vintage
Super, Richard. Is the color kind of a sand/tan? The sun lightens it up quite a bit in the pictures.Besutiful Saturday morning- Resistol Ten

Went to my Haberdasher's yesterday, he as promoting "Plaid Friday" instead of the Black name. He had a discount on anything plaid in the store. Some really wonderful Pendleton products. Pricey, but wonderful. I was restrained. The wife was with me, she was looking to see what excited me for Chirstmas. This old Champ on a nice sunny day.

Wow, now that is a stately hat. Looks to be a perfect formal occasion piece. Before I got dressed I took the pictures of the new additions to the collection. Had to try this Delion top hat. It just about fits but it's very stiff, even for a topper (the shellac went everywhere). It would really need conforming, but other toppers can take care of business if I ever get an invitation where I need one. Anyway top of the morning everyone (that was terrible, I know).

Plaid Friday seems like a great idea. Pendleton does, or did, make some nice stuff. I haven't seen any of their recent stuff. Did you get properly excited about anything?Went to my Haberdasher's yesterday, he as promoting "Plaid Friday" instead of the Black name. He had a discount on anything plaid in the store. Mike, thanks. I'll be posting more of it in the toppers unite thread soon.Wow, now that is a stately hat. Looks to be a perfect formal occasion piece.
Everything expensive (as my wife noted). The new Filson jackets are wonderful, but finding one in a thrift shop would be more economical. Oscar says they are guaranteed for life, no matter what is needed, they will service their offerings forever. I was also enamored by some German Cashmere scarfs at $80, you get what you pay for I guess. The Natty Dresser, my Haberdasher is always a trip into the past, service like you would have had in the 1940s. He has a shoe shine stand also, I get a shine regularly. Not something I couldn't do myself, but there is something special about getting the togs spruced up over some great conversation about fine men's duds.Plaid Friday seems like a great idea. Superb hat, Bob. Lovely crown shape, nice brim treatment and a lightweight too. If it's my size: when can you ship it?Northwest Hat Company. Early 1950's vintage lightweight hat body. Whipstitch brim treatment. View attachment 95135 View attachment 95136 View attachment 95137
hah, no. It's a light grey coloured pocket not an envelope. Anyway bribes here are traditionally carried in brown envelopes. No idea why, but 'brown-envelope' is a verb meaning 'to bribe'.Love to see this beauty Karl. What is in the envelope under the coat, a bribe?
Ha! Lol. Thx. Not yer size.Superb hat, Bob. Lovely crown shape, nice brim treatment and a lightweight too. If it's my size: when can you ship it?
