That's a nice color! The campaign ribbon looks very good on it.

Thanks, Dd. You mentioned the two things that first drew me to it.

That is one of the most beautiful hats I've ever seen
Love this one Bama! As well as the '100' from the day before and the one the day before that and...
Very elegant hat, Daniele!
Thanks to the Dutch!Wonderful hat, Daniele. Look forward to hear more about Charles Hatters.
I pee my pants just a little whenever I take it out.
You should have worn that on Halloween, Alan.
HELL YES!!!Sandmann Wien XV Black Wool probably 1930s.
That's definitely a genuine show piece. My day got better just seeing it.Thank you all for the appreciation of the Imperial Stetson.
I don't wear it too often. It is one of a small number of hats that I keep in its original box. I pee my pants just a little whenever I take it out. The owner of this hat died in 1943 and it stayed with the family for decades afterwards until I purchased it in 2011.
Beautiful, simply beautiful
The personal history puts it a few notches up. I can understand the peeism syndrome.Thank you all for the appreciation of the Imperial Stetson.

Did Roger work for Montgomery Ward?
That hat a coat are massive! Massive cool Justin. Both make a super statement.Dated 20Nov1922 Mell's Mell-O-Fit green long hair heather. This hat is a favorite of mine, and I hope you will all enjoy it as well. It normally hides away in a box, but this being the month of it's birth, I figured I'd allow it to see the morning sunrise. Mackinaw is from the c.1920s
Great crease work on that Dobbs Jim. Character all the way.OPS-era Dobbs Cross Country. Hankachif felt. Lighter than a hummingbird fart.

She wears 'em well. You should encourage her more often. It's spirit week at the high school and today is "Dad Day" -- so my favorite English teacher dressed up as her baby daddy:
Both 40's Stetsons -- St. Regis for her, Whippet for me.
Great hat, great images Fabio.
Love the finish and color on that German beauty Karl. Or is it Austrian?I haven't posted in this thread for most of the past week as I've mostly been staring at the pine ceiling of my kitchen which is now white, or the walls which are now green, or the... you get the picture.
Anyway, a while back @steur sent me this Habig, in part exchange / part present (he sent two hats) for a Dunn Homburg that was slightly too small for me, slightly too large for him. The Habig is slightly too big for him and was slightly too small for me but I stretched it a hair, and recreased it last evening.
Having now played with it, I think someone trimmed the brim down to 'around' 2.5 inches at some stage. Which is a shame but I love it. It's not a bad job, or noticeable really, It's just a bloody nice comfortable hat.
Yeh, I'm just putting some text between my post and some of the legendary lids above.

"Charles Hatters" with pleated ribbon and trimmed brims
The hat is new and comes directly from the large Merano field
The felt is medium stifness and the finish is excellent
This is a hat made by Vanzina or Borsalino.
Within a few days, we will consider the situation of Charles Hatters
Meanwhile good weekend and thank you for appreciating his brother
