This bullet BOP just arrived this morning. I'm not going to wear it to the gym but I did step back inside to continue my tradition of being very much unable to do a cattleman crease.

I like giving these old neglected hats some steam for the first time and letting them relax toward the shape they remember. Should have taken a before pic.

How old are these Stetsons with the "4X Beaver" in the box on the sweat again? Nineties?

Have a great Saturday,

Love both of these lids Michael. That overcoat is over the top!

First sleet of the season. In an Akubra,
Best to wear a bullet proof Akubra in such inclement weather. Looks great with sleet on it.

In between the comments (I am not going back to the point where my computer broke down), I'll post my own hats of today. A three hat day, let's call them try outs.

Dunn&Co homburg, generously provided by Karl (Crow). More on that one later in the homburg nation thread.

second one was part of the hat-swap with Mike (Redfokker). A wonderful Stephen L. Stetson. More on that one too later.

Third one was part of a hat-swap too, this time with Richard (Morgan). Stetson Railbird (and more on that one too later on).

If I do look a little smug in the pictures it's because there were reasons for it (on my head). Great hats, all of them.
It is great to see the SLS. It looks great on you. All three are exemplary hats Stefan. I'll have to check out that Dunn&Co in detail, love the lines of that brim.

In the walk to meet Steve and greet him before his come back to Germany and then in the States I wore the Tonak, who kindly gave me

It is an intriguing hat just built after the war with all the raw material constraints existing in those difficult years

Without lining and with a sweatband made of different material from the leather it has a magnificent felt ina rich and warm brown

The proportions are typical of the Huckel hats of those years with wide wings and low crown

I still thank Steve for generosity and with the autumn colors I wish him a happy homecoming
