Today was a GREAT day, attending the first Baby-naming Ceremony of my life. This is a relatively recent custom, but I'm all in!! I welcomed my first grand daughter into our fold while wearing my only MacLachlan. Even the Rabbi wanted to know about this lid. How cool was that... giving a rabbi hat advice?!!!

Over the weekend, I received this wonderful Demon Hanover made by the Hoyt Hat Company, likely in the early 50s. It's a great hat.

Now that I think about it, you pulled a rabbi INTO your hat...

The conversation really got me thinking, though, Moe... As clergy, wouldn't the rabbi qualify to avoid sales tax? Moreover, or better yet, couldn't he deduct the cost of his hat(s) as an occupational necessity, or a business expense?! There must be an IRS person somewhere on the Lounge...
