I put it through the ringer. Some of the moth kisses were more like moth gnashes (all on the underbrim). But now she's nice and smoooooth. Unfortunately, the one original piece I could not re-use was the sweatband. It was totally disintegrating and had holes punched into it in random places. Reed was popping out... a total mess. So the one modern element is a Bond-band. I'll be on the lookout for an ebay piece I can disassemble for parts...

The online shop is still ready, in the next days the first batch of hats will be photographed
With such a great hat it's no surprise you're smiling!

Great hats today, gents. Getting cold at night now, down to 37 degrees F. I picked the Gannon now officially called the Rodolfo on Michael's website. Black Cherry felt, 5-3/4" open crown, 2-5/8" bound brim and double highlights in the bow.

Holy cow, fed, while I love looking, rarely am I moved to comment on a hat, especially if it's not an upturned stingy. But, I gotta say, I am intensely jealous of this one. What a beauty.

Congratulations on the anniversary! Great hat. Between those before and after pics you performed a minor miracle [emoji1] Love that crease btw.

A tallboy would have been better by afternoon. My AC was running all day.

Thanks Red.

I think a two hat a day plan is necessary at this point.

The Whippet looks good Red, but I think I would stay away from the brim up look.:rolleyes:

Thanks all,
Michael

Well, in French, a Winchester was called a "ventilator", a Yellowboy could double as that! Actually, just realised that it was the Thomson a la 1930's gangster. Anyways, I envy you needing AC, temps are dropping here every day, scarf wearing weather...

Best, Eric -
Wow, you look so natural in that hat, Eric! ;) Super cool pic, too!

Well, thank you so very much! If you go to Michael Gannon's website I think he has one of these for sale. He calls it The Rodolfo after @Chamuco here on the FL.
