nice bashingc.1950s (store label reads 1951, maybe this is the date of manufacture?) Stetson Flagship. First time ever steaming a crease into a hat. old profile was really strange, so i put it into a "diamond-ish" crease, and lowered the pinch some. Heres the result. Not too bad for the first attempt

thats a nice chore hatBefore 8:30am this morning it is cool (50's f) with on and off rain. I chose a Gannon beaver gray fedora for outside chores.
Relieved to be back to more temperate weather for the start of Fall. Good to see the felts on the Lounge.
Best to all, Eric -
Will shed antlers work?
Hey all!
Thanks to everyone for the likes and kind words on my recent posts.
Yup, it's the Lee Doe-Sheen Fifteen again. Love this thing!
And Bob...
Have a great day!
Nice colorSo it goes in the autumn with hot or cool days without logic
Today morning with cold breeze and sun almost out of the clouds, warm in the afternoon
Vintage borsalino in brown with shark gill ribbon matching the felt
"Folco" color and three zig-zag seams to finish the brim
It is another of the hats that arrive from Merano where the pleated ribbon is very represented in the field
The hat is light, just for these days
Thanks for your likes

I like itThe heck with the heat... it's time for fall color!
Charlie - I"m no expert on this. I think the technique shown in the video Doug embedded is about right. But I used a rib and not one sold especially for doing shoes. One I got from my brother in law complete with a nice fat covering. Ha ha.Probably both... Deer bone? Please share the technique, or the Youtube vid!! You have my attention, sir!

After a couple of minutes of work.
So while it is a method primarily recommended for shell cordovan, it works for box calf to some degree also.
