Looks like that one's breaking in nicely. Also looks like it's standing up to the elements just fine!

Thanks guys, it is "seasoning" well. The dress weight is a good thing with all the rain we've had here. I've rotated it with 2 Campdrafts, but seems the beaver is more natural for the wet. I'm adjusting the "finger blocking" as I go. The character is really developing. MANY thanks again to Major Mike Moore for a most excellent lid!!!

It's a great looking hat. Nothing softens a hat up and brings in its character more than a couple of good rain showers.

Sue, you're lookin' right impish under that there lid.

Fabulous!

Thanks, ET. :) Autumn was in the air today in N. Texas. Should be up over 30 degrees Celsius again by the weekend, though. So the straws will stay out for now.

It's been up over 30 Celsius in my neck of the woods all week - and it's still only early spring here! But being the defiant soul I am, I'm sticking with felts - my Stetson 1958 Trilby today.

I hear, however, that the kids have banded together to buy Dad an Akubra Balmoral hemp lid for his birthday on Saturday. It's a nice straw lid that will come in handy for a day at the cricket come summer. Not that I'm supposed to know anything about it of course.
