Went out of my way by hours to visit Stetson outlet in St Joseph MO. Nothing there for me, but found this in the deep discount department. Best quality? It fit.

I got an idea to make an imitation Stratoliner so I won't worry about a vintage on the job.

Brand new beater; just needed a lot of pinching and pulling. It's feels better than my modern Royal Strats

I like it more than some of my other hats, the felt does not have the "best" finish (it's superfine quality, not the better imperial...) but seems rugged and durable. It does look good.

90 wow, we're down to 70's in a normally 90's climate. Everyone complains about the cold, lol, the cold? My students are cold in my room, for once, it's tolerable and relaxing weather in Central California. Brisk mornings and warm noons, my favorite.
