Awesome pics guys!! Sounds like a fantastic time was had! Looking great fellasSo, @Redfokker / Mike and I met up for lunch today. A little Mexican food, enchiladas en salsa verde, a lot of hat talk and a very enjoyable time. Mike is a great guy and into hats like all good men should be. We could have talked for hours and hours. As it was, lunch lasted about ~2 hours, give or take. I showed Mike some of my toquilla treasures from Ecuador and I got to handle the exquisite "Slats" Playboy Red commissioned with Mike Miller at NW Hat Co. A total jewel, pounced inside and out for a relatively thin, velvety felt. Another home run by Mike Miller and another wonderful feather in the cap of history that Red keeps alive through hats.
A couple pics, having fun and then the obligatory "tough guy" look, just for all 'o y'all!

Thank you very much Anthony! James would be a cool nod to one of my favorite actors. Got to love Brett Maverick and Jim RockfordWhy not James ?
I kid I kid
Congrats my man
Yes, this was an epic meeting! Doug is a hat guy to the max! We could have talked hats for hours and swapped stories of travel, families and life. We will continue this at a later date. The next trip we need to plan is a visit to my Haberdasher in Albany. Doug would love the vintage experience of a true men's emporium, just like being in the 1930s. Came home with a spiffy Homero Ortega straw, pics in new hats thread. A great time was had by all!So, @Redfokker / Mike and I met up for lunch today. Sounds like a blast Mike! The trip to the haberdashery sounds like a HUGE blast too. Your haberdasher wouldn't happen to be The Natty Dresser in Albany would it?Yes, this was an epic meeting! Yes, Oscar (the Natty Dresser) is a theater friend of some 25 years. He opened the store a couple of years ago and it is the premier men's haberdasher in the Willamette Valley. Do you know Natty?Sounds like a blast Mike! The trip to the haberdashery sounds like a HUGE blast too. Your haberdasher wouldn't happen to be The Natty Dresser in Albany would it?
The condition of this hat is incredible for it's age. I can understand a felt lasting that long, but something this fragile, wow! Beautiful weave and shape Alan. A treat to see.1920-ish genuine Mikado straw that landed in Roswell, New Mexico. Details are sketchy...
Thank you!Cool looking hat!
Congratulations Justin! So happy to hear such great news. You will have to move a couple of bird cages to make room for a crib!I have a crimson belly conure and a turquoise green cheek (archive shot after a morning walk in the travel pack):
With two adults, two birds and two rabbits, the house is fairly cramped -- but we'll have to make room for one more soon!
Today I'm wearing #6 again =)
Fantastic creation HJ! Love the finish in the picture, is it as luxurious in person. Great color.BSHW. The color changes a bit with room lighting.
Not only functional in the heat, but a true thing of beauty Bama.97 and high humidity call for flow-thru ventilation. Gomez semi colado.

This is a great day for family news, both you and Justin! I'm smiling this evening while catching up with everyone. Congratulations my friend.Congratulations my friend!!!! Very exciting news. It does look like we will be experiencing the same thing around the same time as my wife's due date for our second child is Feb 6th. Love the hat by the way and you are looking sharp as always.
There are a few dedicated Dobbs threads. Most important would be the "Dobbs Diner" here on the lounge. You also might try a Google search with Craddock+Fedora Lounge. Pictures please!Help.. do we have any Dobbs experts in the house? I have a Dobbs craddock, is anyone familiar?
Now we need to figure a way to get all of the PNW Loungers in one place! When you finally travel over here to NW Hats, let us know and we can have a party in Mike's show room.Awesome pics guys!! Sounds like a fantastic time was had! Looking great fellas
Yes sir I do. I was down in the area for work for a short stint and drove by it a few times but never had the time to go in. Quite a shop as I recall. A true vintage look paying homage to the greats of old, equipped with a shoe shine stand and all... I'm trying to put a trip together to go see family that's south of Portland and looks like I need to add that to the list to visit along with Mike Miller's shop and Penman's shop.Yes, Oscar (the Natty Dresser) is a theater friend of some 25 years. Thank you so much Mike! Heck yeah that would be awesome to get all of us that are in the PNW together!! Count me in on that anytime my friend!Fantastic creation HJ! Love the finish in the picture, is it as luxurious in person. Great color.

Boy if his dress is half as good as his shop's presentation he is quite the dandy! His shop is stunning. The family that is south lives between Beaverton and Tigard. I also have family that is actually in Portland as well.Yes, it is a real experience just walking though the door. Oscar was known in the theater community for his exquisite set dressing, and it shows with his presentation of the Natty Dresser. Hats too, modern stuff, but you get to touch before you buy. Where is the family south of PDX?
Baruch Tihiye! We are both eagerly awaiting the discovery of the sex
