Spent a while coveting Moon's straw Open Road this morning, then decided to break out this 1950s Resistol western straw. It's 3" brim is pretty close to an O.R. and it worked well in the 90+ degree central AL humidity this afternoon.

Nice looking straw Dale! Well ventilated on the crown.

Clouds, light rain and breaks of sunshine. Went with the silk jacket and a tan colored Royal Stetson.

I love the hats being posted. Carry on!

I do like that Stetson, the wide ribbon makes a real statement. Sweet jacket I've been digging it since you first showed it off.

Cleaned up that dirty old Akubra that my wife got at a garage sale for $1.00.

This ribbon was under the braided band.

Although I might borrow my wife's beaded band on occasion.

Wow! an Akubra for a buck. That kind of garage sale luck is obscene. Looks like it is in good shape now.

Going out in 100+ tempos to go see TCM's showing of "Some Like It Hot".

#1 and #2 are the best. But more specifically, #1's crown proportions fit you best, but #2's brim dimension is best.

1, 2 and 4. You need a full crown and wider brim

I'm going to go with #1 (Optimo Dearborn), #3 (Borsalino Classico), and #4 (Panama Hats Direct Classic Fedora), but I think the Optimo Dearborn looks best.

They all look great to me, but top middle and bottom left especially.

Moon had me feeling the same way Roger, then Bamaboots tagged in over in the new hats thread and took me to the mat. The plain shantung ones are plentiful and cheap, and that means sweat uppable. I should have one on my doorstep in a few days.

Thanks Mike. One stubborn stain, but it is under the brim. Still need to sand one brim edge as well. I'm happy with the way it turned out!

3,4,1 for me in that order, but they bear most similarity to how i like my creases
