Thanks Emil. What I meant to say is that I'm almost equally happy with any brim from 2 1/4" to 3". Larger and smaller have their uses.

Thanks for the kind compliments, guys. I'm going to start wearing it more often even though I only wear tee shirts, collarless Henleys, crew necks, & mock turtle neck shirts in winter & therefore should stick with thin ribbons.

Bob, the color is Granite but the spot lights overhead in the above pics put out kind of a yellow tint. If you need the measurements & specs to replicate your grandfather's hat sometime just let me know.
