Just re-re-reribboned the Borsalino Colombo (from felt-belt to 1/2" bone ribbon to 1/2" brown ribbon to this) so now I'm wearing it to my niece's first softball practice of the season. She likes to be cheered on even in practice, so we all oblige.

It's still hot over here, but I wanted to take blue monkey creation #2 out for a spin! The felt is Czech rabbit by way of ManHatCo in NY; the leather and lining is from lounger @bond .

My personal critique -- I need to block these with higher, straighter crowns -- I find that my current block doesn't provide enough slack to get really creative with the crease sculpting. Still - I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!
Yer getting good! Pretty soon you will be making us all hats.

Reporting in from "The belly of the beast," near Boston. The snow has turned to rain in my neighborhood. Yuck! Still, it's no match for a Peters Brothers classic felt!

No 20" drifts? I've been watching the storm from over on the left coast. My daughter said it pooped out on them up in NH. The Peters Bros. didn't peter out!!

Classy slim brim Michael. What is the red pin on the jacket? A brand pin?
Thanks Red. I have no idea what the pin is. It's quite a heavy duty thing with a raised Z on an enameled shield ground. It has a backing plate as large and heavy duty as the shield. Maybe someone else knows it's significance, but to me it is just something a former owner stuck on there. For sure it is not Filson's doing.
