Upon some quick research, the jacket is a USAAF M44 Ike Jacket. By the end of WWII, these short jackets were general issue, made popular by General Eisenhower. If the winged patch on the sleeve had a number on it, more detailed history would be possible. It is a wonderful piece Michael. I'm impressed.

I believe pink was never a factory offering for GM in '59. However, back then, many special paint cars were ordered. Something iconic and very American about a pink CaddyThis color had a very special name.
