I wore my 50's? Royal Stetson to church today. Tan in color, velvety felt, shorter crown than I usually like, triple stitch overwelt, brown ribbon and back bow topped off with a matching wind trolley. Received more compliments on this one today.

Baaaa! That is one special Homburg Moe. I assume (have to reread the thread) that the dating clue involves the address on the Dobbs crest? It looks like brand new.
Tha-a-anks Red!
You assume correctly! According to the Professor, the only year that those three addresses were active at the same time was 1928. It is in spectacular condition, like new. I was quite stoked when I saw it on the bay for a (relatively) low BIN.:)

It's amazing how you change opinion.
Not really changing my opinion. Just because I think Silverbelly's a versatile color doesn't mean I don't get bored with it. Especially since mostly what I have is that color. Besides, if I choose to change my opinion on something, wouldn't that be my business? Will there be anything else?

I'm loving all these homburgs here this weekend! The background doesn't matter when you look that stylish. I hope you had a good night at the theatre, what did you go and see?

I'm sorry for your loss.
Great hats and cool lightning picture. I used to love storms, except that one time when my house got flooded, that wasn't so much fun. Still like watching them though :)

Great hat and suit, the tie and handkerchief add just the right bit of colour. Different moustache?

Wow, what a crown! Beautiful colour and texture.

I love the liner of those game birds. That last picture's great :)

Your conversions are really impressive, that's some skill you have. Always enjoy seeing the pictures.
Thank you, Celia!

Looked out of the bedroom window yesterday, there was a bright, sunny spring morning to greet me. Dug out my faithful trilby straw, donned the Route 66 shirt, got the MG out and went for a spin. No sooner had I got back home than the rain came down. Still rather early for to wear the straws. In just over three weeks it will be the spring equinox, maybe that will usher in some sunnier weather.

Sunny weekend, especially Saturday, dedicated to rugby games
The family is devoted to rugby union and football is only a marginal element, a bit bizarre in Italy:rolleyes:

The felt of this Barbisio is called "Chamois" and the finish is suede

Made in Barbisio historical factory it was really well finished

Spending a peaceful day in the kitchen, sun streaming in, looking at old photos. Here are a few I found taken with some of the Lounge members I've had the pleasure to meet.

with RLK - a prolific face and collection, taken in Evanston, IL

With Joshbru, another Chicagoan with impressive hat knowledge.

A quick visit with Moontheloon in NYC last year. The first meeting of many, I hope.

There have been a few others, but I can't seem to find the pictures. Happy Sunday to all...
What a great collection of pictures

A sneaky straw expedition. Mother nature let you know it is not May yet. Like the look though.

Very wonderful Barbisio Daniele! That finish looks very rich and smooth. Good choice for the weekend activities.
