The Works of Art family, I like it. Such a wonderful color on both of these lids.Nice. View attachment 66992 One of its relatives for me today.
This is still a great look Serge! The hat will tell you what it wants, get your hands on it.All you folks look great. Each in your own individual way!
A panizza that could do with a reblock or at the very least a bit of work to the crown [emoji20]

Looking forward to your downtown look later today...I like a man who shuns the Gortex and embraces the red!A little early morning snow shoveling duty.

Thanks very much. I have one blue hat, a navy blue Borsy Bellagio that looks terrible on me (the hat style not the color), but it was the first "good" hat I bought. You're right about the color: I'm one person who likes the way blue looks with other colors, especially browns, but you've got me thinking of possible colors for the ribbon. I'll have to wait on it anyway until Tim at Alley Kat finishes my next hat, but I just may be giving Mr. Gannon a call. I'm also considering a blue straw for the "cool" effect during the hotter months. Cheers.
Bob; The blue beaver is grand. I had been very cautious about "blue hats" as I was not confident they would pair up with my attire well. Now after owning a couple blue hats, my opinion is quite the opposite. This Winchester blue felt is very rich to the eye with the expected beaver feel to the fingers. The above pic are much more color accurate. The charcoal ribbon is my idea of working with gray/charcoal outerwear. The blue is a cool color and the charcoal ribbon is also a cool color. I like the low contrast coordination. When I looked up blue when considering the felt color I was reminded it is defined as a neutral color. A high contrast of warm (red/yellow hints) would offer a bold option or accent.
My hat was inspired by David's Gannon Stratoliner-esque blue fedora. Inspiration from the best.
Bob, you deserve a new hat - be happy.

Very nice combination. I remember that those coats were very big back in the early 1950's: there's a photo of me somewhere when I was about four sitting on Santa's lap and wearing a shorter version, also belted. Beautiful coat you've got.Ready to go on my errand run. Pilgrim

Except that I still need to add a scarf into the mix. It's gotten quite nippy out.

A lot of character in that ribbon =)
I didn't notice it had popped out until I saw your comment. I've been tucking it in when wearing recently. I really need to throw a stitch in there to hold it in place.
