I only have the one Cuenca weave hat I picked up in Guayaquil, Ecuador in 2012. $20 at an open street market. I like to wear it on warm days. I have my eyes out for a nicely patterned semi-colado, open weave design. I believe DJH here on the FL has a really nice one.

I wore The Penman in dark moss from Penman Hat Co. Nice felt on this one, and a distinctive 6-point diamond crease.

Wish I had the bucks for a new Penman. Have to sell my kidney!

Today I am wearing a Fino Panama Hat from Panamahatdirect. It's cold here today in Woodland CA., but the Sun is peaking out and I have been excited about wearing this hat sence I haven't been able to wear it because of the weather.

I got this one lightly used, Red. It's a little small but I just wear it a little higher on my head and it works fine. I was wanting a dark moss green hat in my collection and this one popped up. I thought about it for a couple days and then moved on it.

Pictures don't do the felt justice. It's a really nice color.

I get their emails all the time so I scan through their hats on a regular basis.... but every time I think about ordering one I realize I'll be back to Ecuador in a few months and I can look there, too. We're headed back in June/July this year and will definitely be looking around. We have plans to visit both Cuenca and Montecristi this year. My wife has family in Manta, just a few miles down the road from Montecristi.
