Very simple and elegant hat for this afternoon stroll
These are days almost festive, lazy and very pleasant

Happy Wednesday to all
Thank you for the appreciations on yesterday's Barbisio.
That color of blue ribbon really compliments that gray. I'm doing this combo with my new custom from NW Hats, it makes me feel confident with my choice now. Good to see this special Borsalino.

I poured Creme de Cassis on the Champagne Flute and then Moet, turned Champagne into Kir Royale !!!

I have no idea what Creme de Cassis and Kir Royale are.

I are ignorant about most alkeehaulik beverages (except

and

BUT IT STILL SOUNDS GOOD!

Thats good knowledge !!! Mr Kirk was a mayor of Dijon who liked to experiment mixing drinks, he mixed black currant creme or creme de cassis with sparkling white wine in order to,develop the Kir Cocktail, if you mix creme de cassis avec champagne you get the Kirk Royale....3 or 4 not more or it develops into a nice headache !!!

I, personally, am not a champagne fan so, in order to drink it, have to turn it into Mimosas, Kirk Royale, Mandarin Mimosa or Bellinis...otherwise I am much more a red wine, Tequila, Bourbon, Whisky, Vodka and beer guy

Thanks! Yes extreme flange on these Janyška "Praga'

Incredible richness of color in this one Steve. It's another absolute gem.
Michael
Thank you! It's an interesting / unique blue.

Matt, Thanks!

Wow!
Absolutely gorgeous.
Harv, Thank you! It's more of Chamois finish.

Beautiful Steve, another ribbon with the basting thread I see, is it very common? And I wondered if the threaded ribbon on the sweatband can be pulled to adjust the size (might have asked this before though my memory is going!)

Cristina, Thank you! The stitch is to protect the ribbon and bow prior to sale. I think Mayser might still do it but it was common when this hat was made. From what I was told it should be removed but I see them on hats that were worn. This is a New Old Stock (NOS) Hat so never sold.

Outstanding Playboy, Moon. You've got to be happy with this one!

It seems I've been in a rotation of the same hats lately. sporting one of my vintage thin ribbon Borsalino's again

Love the big collars on these Woolrich coats. Reaches all the way up to the hat to keep my neck and the back of my head warm!
