Thank for your kind words.
My daughter Ginevra is the only in my family with ice-blue eyes, my father's gift.
We celebrated Christmas and Hannukkah (Festa delle luci) in family, in the home of Monica mother, and for almost starved Jim the menu was only fish.
Here Jim at you choice the dishes: Scottish smoked salmon, ravioli with shrimp and zucchini, cold salad of octopus and potatoes and red snapper baked in salt with confit tomatoes. Classic tiramisu. Wines: Prosecco di Valdobbiadene and Gerwutztraminer South Tyrol plus for the sweets Recioto della Valpolicella
You know that here is Italian custom to talk about food while you eat so good appetite for you eating
The hat is today the same as yesterday

Stetson Absinthe kind gift from Steve

It comes directly from the outlet of Garland

It has some flaws, the lining is poorly positioned and ribbon and bow are made a little hastily. Excellent felt

I like a lot and also the Boxing Day is on my head

Buon Lunedì a tutti!
The Stetson looks great on you Daniele. I like that color combo. It sounds like you had an excellent dinner and visit with your daughter yesterday.

Looking great this Boxing Day & feast day of St. Stephen, folks.

I'm heading out to float like a butterfly and sting like a bee under a Premier Vita-Felt homburg.

May each of you avoid being beaten up and/or martyred today.

Oh... And have fun. [emoji6]
Having fun being the martyr today. My wife's birthday so like every other day, It is all about her! Love this homburg, and a vita-felt too boot! This is exactly what I'm looking for in my next vintage hat, a brown or gray mullet'burg!

Practically Family
Here Boxing day is called San Esteban and is a holiday in Catalonia.
Saw that and flashed back to grade school when I learned that Dec 26 is the Feast of St Stephen, and Good King Wenceslaus was to be sung on the 2nd day of Christmas.

Play Music !

Good King Wenceslas looked out
On the feast of Stephen
When the snow lay round about
Deep and crisp and even
Brightly shone the moon that night
Though the frost was cruel
When a poor man came in sight
Gath'ring winter fuel

"Hither, page, and stand by me
If thou know'st it, telling
Yonder peasant, who is he?
Where and what his dwelling?"
"Sire, he lives a good league hence
Underneath the mountain
Right against the forest fence
By Saint Agnes' fountain."

"Bring me flesh and bring me wine
Bring me pine logs hither
Thou and I will see him dine
When we bear him thither."
Page and monarch forth they went
Forth they went together
Through the rude wind's wild lament
And the bitter weather

"Sire, the night is darker now
And the wind blows stronger
Fails my heart, I know not how,
I can go no longer."
"Mark my footsteps, my good page
Tread thou in them boldly
Thou shalt find the winter's rage
Freeze thy blood less coldly."

In his master's steps he trod
Where the snow lay dinted
Heat was in the very sod
Which the Saint had printed
Therefore, Christian men, be sure
Wealth or rank possessing
Ye who now will bless the poor
Shall yourselves find blessing

Lovely hats and family pictures (Sergej, Daniele and so many others). Here Boxing day is called San Esteban and is a holiday in Catalonia. My hat made from my stash of vintage velours, has a bow made with the same fabric as the jacket, and a vintage Jomaz brooch of a carol singer.
