Even on saturday no one is slumming it here, great hats from all again. Today was a two hat day, started off wearing the same borsalino as yesterday...

...but then decided it just wouldn't do to be so boring as to wear the same hat two days in a row, so decided on something a bit more whimsical

Happy weekend everybody!
1. The raw brim on that Borsalino looks great on you.

2. Whimsy achieved. A fun and lovely hat...

Isn't it just? I love that letter, I'm both a hat and opera freak, so it had to come to my attention.

You know we want to see pictures! ;)
Shaw was one heck of a character. I wonder if I can get my grouse stamped into deceasedom and then nailed onto my temple...

Photos shall be forthcoming. [emoji6]

Enjoy.

Today is the debut of my Moon care package 2016! A modern Stetson Stratoliner, Excellent (Bill and Ted approved) quality. Sage green, soft and supple and with a Ant diamond bash. It will be getting a lot of head time. We have a whole day of events to go to today, and this hat will be my statement for the season.

I'll be posting a full review in the new hat thread. Hard to be objective right now, I'm still in the honeymoon phase of this beauty. Thanks Moon!

Didn't you wear that just a couple of weeks ago with a tie dye something or other? Let me check, oh no, my mistake, that was a pheasant and I think those might have just been coffee stains (maybe a bit of spaghetti).

Yeah... good eye, Michael. Those WERE coffee stains and spaghetti.

Now, the bird... it wasn't just any old pheasant.
It was a blue pheasant. One of the bestest kinds there is...

Thanks Michael!

Nice hat! Like it a lot! :)

Thanks Daniel. The borsalino is a bit older and totally asymmetrical, but fits my head just right (I guess that means my head's lobsided too) - so don't worry about yours not being 100% perfect in your eyes, it looks great to me in the picture you posted in the Borsa thread.

Oh my god! I wouldn't have liked it if i knew that before! :p

Didn't see that in this perspective though. But I'm a bit more relaxed with mine anyways. Haven't steamed it for three days. Guess it's time to be proud of myself! ;)

HECK YES!!!

And It's a damn fine rubber chicken, if I do say so my damn self (not one of those low quality ones!).

Sometimes it goes to work with me, too.

Just look at that chicken... Ain't it a beaut?!?!

Matt,

My faith in you remains unshaken. That's obviously a quality rubber chicken, not a Sears chicken.

Sent directly from my mind to yours.

Freakin' fantastic faux fowl, friend!
I used to have one of the orange ones that the Giants sold to fans to wave whenever Barry Bonds was intentionally walked. No idea where it is now. That was back in my drinkin' days.

This won't be enough hat, jacket or boots when the temperature starts dropping, the snow starts droppng and the wind heads toward gale force. But then again I may not leave the house after that snow starts.

A lot of fine hats here already today. Especially for a Saturday. I thought most of you guys hung out here when you were at work so that you didn't have to, you know, work?

Have a great weekend.

Jim, you have buoyed my spirits.

Sometimes, I am awakened in the middle of the night by the very troubling thought: "Does Jim still have faith in me?"

Tonight, thanks to you, I expect that I will sleep very soundly.

By the way... Why do you think that Sears went bankrupt and probably will not be around much longer? JUNK RUBBER CHICKENS!!!
