O.F. Hess "Praga", this hat is from my 2015 Czech find. O.F. Hess was a hat company located in Bohemia Czechoslovakia (now Czechia) that didn't survive much past the end of WWII.

Whenever you refer to one of your "finds", I have this image of you dressed like Indiana Jones carrying a torch and rappelling down into some dark, crypt-like room that is filled with sparkling hats.

It always puts a smile on my face.

Oh, absolutely. My wife's relatives in the Chicago area laugh hysterically every time I comment on how southern Californians deal with the "cold" weather.

Just to be clear, I like snow just fine...where it is. On the local mountains. That way, I can go there, play in the snow, then leave it there and come home where it's warmer and dry.

Over the years not only have you developed your hat creation craft but also your ability to show them off. If you didn't have the skills for the former I am certain you could make nice living as a hat model. Nice job!

Yesterday was really cold, today the sun increase the temperature a little bit
Week dedicated to fur Italian hats
Guerra 1855 in brown

It has a very soft felt in a brown-reddish color

It has a medium hair and the felt was made in a superb way

No paper label under the sweatband, stamped only "Pure fur felt - Waterproof"

In the sun the shades became more brown

Very classic proportions for this high end Guerra
