Been so busy that I haven't been to the forum since Thursday. I hope to have time later today to catch up on the stellar parade of hats from our members.
Making up for my missing Friday pic this morning. Inexpensive Stacy Adams porkpie today.

Fantastic look! I like waiting to see what Christmas tie you're going to wear, too.

Surveying the job ahead. My Gannon hat and I will be tackling the snow removal job after the falling snow tapers in a couple hours.

This hat does not get much Forum time as have it handy and put it on when I need to work some chores or a quick jaunt outside. It is not particularly showy or fancy - just right for my eye and purposes. I enjoy the protection the 2.5" brim provides me when working outside. The crown covering my bald head is required. The modern Gannon in beaver felt has been my go to hat when I need to get things done outside of late. The felt after a shake most of the water, snow and wood chips fall off. A brush with a hat brush and I am happy to hang it ready for the next outside adventure.

A hat not worn is a sad hat. This charcoal hat is happy!

Best, Eric -
That's a great Gannon, Eric! Your adventures in the elements have urged me on to try the same thing with my finer felt hats.

To have a collection where this superior Gannon is a "work" hat is just mind blowing. That hat would be my dressy, Sunday go to meeting choice. I am truly humbled. My hats don't get sad, there are not enough of them to sit idle. Happy hats? I like that!

Headed out to Mass under the 1946 Vita-Felt Stetsonian.

It's another cold and beautiful morning. Lovely sunrise today with clouds mottled with red. I like this time of year.

Have a marvelous Sunday.
Beautiful Vita-felt. I've seen these regularly (almost) on the lounge and have wondered about how they feel in hand? Your thoughts, compare and contrast in 8 pages or less.

You always look so classy. I think of Hercule Poirot when I see these immaculate stylings. I'm not sure the low crown Derby would work for my ugly mug. I do like the lines of it though, kind of spiffy!
Thanks, Red! Yes, the low crown is a little different. Not sure how much I love it, but it has been fun trying it out.

Great hat! The ribbon and binding contrasting color are the perfect blends!

Been sitting at home all weekend in dire pain, passing a kidney stone I think. Patty has finally convinced me to go to Urgent Care this morning. I had this happen 30+ years ago and nothing since then. Being the big baby I am, this is not my favorite way to spend the last few days. Like driving a Buick through a garden hose! My only contact with the outside world has been the Lounge! (kind of feeling like I'm being ignored, but that is probably the Vicodin talking...)

Hope you're feeling better soon.
Wear the Bowler.

Ouch! Been there.

Go with the back bow as it looks easier to reshape if the pain makes you bang your head against a wall.

I hope this passes soon, you recover quickly and remember to stay hydrated going forward.

Quite behind in my forum reading!

I like it! The pattern of the fabric is very interesting. Snazzy!
Thank you Red it is nice also that it works on both sides, positive and negative.

M.W.B. Stolzf. Luxury Velour, 1930s. This is indeed a very luxurious / dense Velour.

Beautiful hat and luscious felt, and... is that a smile?! :)

You know you guys keep putting up these $500 dollar hats and calling them beaters. This is a beater. The ribbon is in tatters and the remains are permanently wrinkled, the felt is unruly, the liner is a color that makes you wonder about disease every time you put it on. Portis, Club Quality,

Might be a beater but looks mighty fine on your head! :)

Hi, Kuki. It's so great to see how one person with style can light up a town. Cheers!
Thank you tropicalbob, I think all of us here bring joy to those boring hatless people around us!

Great hat, great coat, great jacket. I hope you are having a great time on your trip. It looks and sounds fun from here.

Michael
Thank you Michael, having a great time, now at the airport on my way home!

Absolutely stunning. The color and ribbon are to die for!
Thanks Red!

Fabulous ensemble from head to toe, stunning lady. If I had seen you in the street, I'd have said, "Wow."
Well thank you kindly!

Spectacular, Kuki!! Wow-ZA! You OWN the look!!! Attractive, elegant, BEAUTIFUL. Thanks for showing up!
Thanks for having me here guys!! I often ponder how much fun people are missing by dressing all boring, drop a hat in the mix and life is definitely better!

What a gorgeous hat and a fantastic ensemble! Just wonderful!
Thank you FedOregon!

And just for fun, my demon rabbit Smokie sez, "Hey!"

Hey Frunobulax, doesn't your rabbit bear a grudge seen as you often wear his relatives on your head?

I have to say, the TONAK velours is pretty outstanding. They vary from color to color though. That blue of of mine is absolutely lush.
Harv has one in the making in a melange velours. They are really outstanding quality.

It takes practice to finish brims, i have all sorts of tools, yet the good old scissors are my best friend.

Thank you, the bow is made from silk taffeta ribbon.

I need more coffee, concealer and sleep.

Looking great today Esther, as well as with your beret yesterday! I try my best with my English (replying to an earlier comment), but mistakes will be made!
I am also partial to a good pair of scissors, the hatters curved one are a great tool, I manage well but I still dread the cutting.

Finally my hat of the day, repeating the one I wore on the way to Holland (by the way the blue one travels squashed on my hand luggage... found out it was possible -not recommendable though- when I sat accidentally on it and afterwards I managed to pop it back into shape without problems (it has almost no stiffener on it, and the felt is amazing). How many of you has accidentally sat on their hats, and what was the outcome?
