Thanks hato!Moe, you just keep em coming!
But were you referring to nice hats or bad jokes?
Thanks hato!Moe, you just keep em coming!
Thanks, mmb!Great looking hat, Moe.
You rock the bowler thing.
Sweeeeet!!In addition to Matt's request to see the fabric, I'm curious about the dimensions and the method of wrapping.
I tackled the estimated eight billion and two leaves in my yard while wearing this Ranch Western Wear wide brim telescope. The wrap might have handled the sweat better.

Man oh man.
Moon, that "ol' Borsalino is aging well!
Fantastic hats today, everyone! And thanks for all the kind words and likes
Hanging some Christmas lights today with a trusty old Stetson
Thanks Harv!
It's number 3 in the favourites
Shape look familiar?
That is a good hat you've got there...
Big Man! Knocking it out of the park.
Here's a hat I don't wear that often. Not because I don't like it, but because I like it so much and don't want to wear it out.
I've had this hat for several years. I got it from Miller, and they used to list it as the "Chicago" hat. I liked it so much that I ordered another one in gray, but although the name was the same, the style had changed.
Haha!Esther, despite what mach says, there is a "you" in our favorites...
Back atcha man!Haha!
I like you Moe
I hope the surgery goes perfectly and you're in tip top shape in no time.Enjoy, maybe not! But many thanks for the thoughts, Matt. Maybe I'll find another lid?!
Fantastic! Thanks, Blue.Sure! Here are my headwraps. The bases are maroon, black, red, and navy:
They are a decent quality considering they came out of the third world. In my opinion, the textiles from the rural areas are nicer because they are traditionally dyed and woven and the little imperfections just feel more authentic. The headwraps are from my father's region in the capital (metro area) while my loin cloths are from my mother region in the rural north. Here's my loincloth draped over a tribal shield, also from my mother's region:
Lol! Jokes. The wrap dimensions range from 22" to 24" so pretty much the same as a large Western bandana. The folding pattern is one of many the islanders use:
1. Open diamond:
2. Mountain folds on bottom half to form horn:
3. Fold horn up
4. Roll up once to start the headband:
5. Roll up again to finish headband:
Tie that around your head and tuck the large triangle into the knot to create the bonnet. Or, you can do a variation where you make a horn out of both sides of the wrap:
All I need are some eagle feathers!
Nice. I like it.I tackled the estimated eight billion and two leaves in my yard while wearing this Ranch Western Wear wide brim telescope. The wrap might have handled the sweat better.
Thanks, my friend. I am happy that I have played a small role is spreading the bowler contagion. [emoji6]Thanks, mmb!
I take that as high praise indeed from a bowler guy such as yourself who is one of my inspirations to actually try one.
I'm back in the saddle again here for a couple of days. Shoulder surgery scheduled for Monday may continue to inhibit my participation for a bit, but not for long (I hope)!!
I'm wearing my surprise bonus Cavanagh-via-Levine. A couple of years ago I bought this "Levine" hat in a Levine box for a friend whose last name is Levine. Imagine my surprise and delight when it arrived, finding it to be not only a Cavanagh felt, but in my near-impossible-to-find size!! My pal Levine is still waiting for a hat.
Amen!

You look dressed the part for Tiffany & Co.!
That is one beautiful hat. In the photos, the brim binding looks grey, is that accurate?
Fantastic!
