That is a damn nice looking Lee!
I like the contrasting edge binding ribbon.
I'm going to steal that hat. ;)

Nice looking Lee! Is it black or navy blue? It changed a little bit in the sunshine shot. Another hat to put on my want list.

Excellent, Mr. Barnes!

Great looking Lee, Matt. Does cat hair felt?

Thanks guys. Your offerings today are great, too. Good fun for a Friday.

Red, it is a nice deep black. It could probably use a professional cleaning, though. It was pretty filthy and beat up when it got to me. I gave it a good naptha bath, but there still seems to be a bit of embedded dust that has never wanted to let go.

Funny, Michael!!! You know... the sick thing is that I have wondered the same thing about cat hair myself (dogs, human and lots of other hairs, too).

Hope that all have a great rest of the day.

Enjoy

I'm back in the saddle again here for a couple of days. Shoulder surgery scheduled for Monday may continue to inhibit my participation for a bit, but not for long (I hope)!!

I'm wearing my surprise bonus Cavanagh-via-Levine. A couple of years ago I bought this "Levine" hat in a Levine box for a friend whose last name is Levine. Imagine my surprise and delight when it arrived, finding it to be not only a Cavanagh felt, but in my near-impossible-to-find size!! My pal Levine is still waiting for a hat.

I'm in late today. Sun and cold, now it is dark and more cold

Panizza Royal in grey

It is in the tradition of Panizza: a Italian classic for proportions and shape

The felt is fantastic. Malleable and finished with a very short hair

Going home walking I found this "rosa Veneziano" wall as perfect background for pictures

Behind this wall for many years there was a ancient boozer and most of the men wear hats like this drinking wine, feeling fine.....

Charlie, good to see you buddy, good luck on your surgery. You need those shoulders for taking those selfies.
Looks like you're Levine large these days.

Reworked my unknown western brand again. I reshaped both the crown and the brim and I'm still deciding on a ribbon choice, may not have much of a choice though. I'm a bit shy on ribbon at the moment, and I'm tired of Silverbelly!

Going way back to Blind Willie Johnson for some Gospel Blues. From the remake of "The Lady Killers" with Tom Hanks....
